ISU outplayed UNC...They are the better team even without one of their most important players. Lol junc come on you know better than to bicker about refs dictating the outcome. Stop sounding like a sore loser and give ISU the credit they clearly deserve
Wichita State started to take too many jumpers, and Kentucky to my surprise played a very smart game down the stretch. They kept slowing the game down and were driving the ball to the basket to draw fould. Very impressed with that last 5 minutes or so. That kid Early from Wichita State looks like a stud, going to be a top 10 pick I think. More impressive then Randle
you know Carolina played 95% of the game w/o one of their most important players, right? a big time shot blocker who sure could have helped on all those Kane trips to the basket. ISU was in the double bonus w/ 5 mins left, Carolina didn't hit the bonus until 22 secs left. Carolina attacked the rim all night. I give ISU credit, they took advantage.
Shaking my head MParty...What a terrible decision by that kid. He will be lucky if he goes in the 2nd round and thats only because of his length.
From what I've read on the SJU board, he knows he might not be drafted. But wants to go pro whether it be in the d-league or europe.
Marcus Paige officially announced he is coming back and it was reported Carolina will be playing Ohio State in non conf though conflicting reports of either Chicago or Brooklyn are being sorted out so as of now the highlights of the non conf sched include: at UK, at Texas, vs. OSU(N), in the battle for Atlantis w/ a loaded field and then they will probably play the best Big 10 team in the ACC/Big 10 challenge like they always seem to do. I love it.
Looks like the event will be held in Chicago in 2014, Brooklyn in 2015, and Las Vegas in 2016. http://www.cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/2014/03/ohio_state_to_play_north_carol.html http://buckeyextra.dispatch.com/con...14-scarlet-and-blue-christmas-in-chicago.html
I wonder if the home and home w/ Uk will be ending? if not they will play UK at neutral site every 3 years along w/ a home or road game unless they just suspend it that particular year.
http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/74174/north-carolina-kentucky-renew-series Looks like it's every other year now. 2011-2013-2015
Uk didn't renew for the '12-'13 season which is why they didn't play. they came to an agreement for a series though, they played at UNC this past season and will be at UK next year but I guess it was a 2 year deal as they aren't scheduled for the '15-'16 season.
it wasn't mutual, Carolina would have played if UK wanted to. I think that article is old. the link below is to their future committed game Future In-Season Tournaments/Games 2014: Battle 4 Atlantis (Bahamas - Nov. 26-28 - UAB, Butler, UCLA, Florida, Georgetown, Oklahoma, Wisconsin), @ Kentucky, @ Texas, Ohio State (in Chicago) 2015: CBI Experience (Kansas City, Mo.) 2016: Maui Invitational (Hawaii) 2017: Nike 16-team tournament (Portland, Ore.) 2018: Barnstorm (Texas, Florida, Michigan State) http://northcarolina.scout.com/3/bbschedule.html
The one I quoted was from 2012. I was quoting it for the statements from the AD about why they weren't playing. I linked a different one that claimed they were playing in 2015-2016. I can't find any other information.
the link I posted they are always up to date. either way I hope they renew the home and home, this little 4 team field is nice but I like the home and homes
great stat ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo 1m Tom Izzo is 3-7 all-time vs 1 seeds… but he's 3-3 when the 1 seed isn't North Carolina
