No one thought anyone would trade for Schaub and you saw what happened.

Holmes, Plaxico, Kerley, Keller, Greene and LT. Is not a bad group of skill players. Don't get me wrong I felt they should've kept Braylon and Cotchcery just for the sake of continuity. That was their mistake, but he had a decent enough core of weapons around him to at least be serviceable.

They had to fire Schotty, not because he was at fault for anything. But he had been blamed for the majority of the problems with the offense. Some people felt that he was holding Sanchez back. We needed to see who was holding back who. And we got our answer.

Tebow was a mess of an acquisition so ok arguments there.

Or you can say that if Sanchez definitively won the job they would've never put him in the game at that point. Matter of fact he would've started that game and Geno would've been playing at that point. This is my problem with Sanchez apologists. It's always someone else's fault, it's always some other factor. It's never just Sanchez's fault.

Geno missed the 2nd preseason game and Sanchez failed to seize the job. They were having a competition and they wanted to see Sanchez get some reps. It's unfortunate that Sanchez got hurt.

    Wait whut?

Everyone knew he was going to get traded and there were rumors for a while that at least Oakland and Cleveland were serious suitors and possibly others.

The general consensus was that Schaub would be cut.

That's what you'd prefer to believe because it fits your narrative.

There was 1000% more chance Schaub was going to get traded over Sanchez. There was virtually no shot Sanchez was getting traded. Contract, major shoulder surgery, out a full year, awful 2012. Folks don't even know if he can play to start the year, no one was trading for him.

Schaub can step in day 1 and start, and probably at a pretty high level.

The Jets really screwed Mark from the start. He never had a chance to do well here. The offensive coaching was BEYOND bad for the four years he played here. Then, when he finally gets some decent offensive coaching, he's put in the 4th Q in a preseason game, to get hurt. Also, he never had weapons, the offensive team around him that 2012 season a complete joke. Whether he ever becomes a good QB, I don't know. But I'm pretty sure he would have been better than Geno and we might have even made the playoffs if Sanchez started for the Jets the season.

I usually don't care how players do after they leave the Jets, but Sanchez will definitely be a player that I root for.

So all it's gonna take to turn Sanchez into a trope flight QB is to get him screwed?

Well hell's bells, I hear there are people you see to help you with that! Shoot, I'd have taken up a collection for the poor guy if it meant I'd never have had to see the buttfumble...... why didn't you tell me earlier?!

I'm referring to the Jets FO and the decisions they make in regards to developing QBs

I know, I was just making a joke. Apparently I was wildly unsuccessful.
