So now it's Woody that's the bad guy, not Idzik? Who's the next overpriced FA that you think the Jets should blow their wad on?
Its hard to accept pateince when we've had to deal with three straight non playoff seasons,The Butt fumble on thanksgiving night in front of millions of fans and there familys ,The constant QB drama and nonsense,The Tebow Project,Trading Revis,Drafting Stephen Hill instead of Alshon Jeffrey who was drafted two picks later, hiring Tony Sparano,Having Clyde Gates start at Wr,But yea just be patient the Jets have given us plenty of reasons not to
Yeah, apparently they're not going to sign anyone else and amazingly they're also going to opt out of the draft this season because they're so confident in their current roster that there's no need. When are people gonna come off it with these ridiculous chicken little attitudes?
Lol what overpriced fa did I want them to sign? Idzik s a huge problem and he follows direction of the owner. Call me crazy, when rebuilding a team on one year minimum contracts and looking to build through the draft, screams patience please. But if you read the article you can see woody seems to be under a different mindset. He's a lot like some of the people that post on here.
Yes we're going to sign players that get cut to minimum deals, were going draft better than anyone in the history of the draft and make a monster run. See, alls well that ends well. I'm sold
You can't fix what's wrong with the Jets by adding players whose old teams did not want them any more.
You are in every thread bitching and moaning about how they haven't spent enough money or haven't made enough effort to sign whoever the next hot FA is. You don't seem to have much logic behind your complaints other than the fact that because they have cap space they should use it up immediately. It gets old really quickly.
Bill Polian is a very smart man. Built the Bills and then the Colts. Took an expansion team, the Carolina Panthers, to the NFC Championship Game in their second year of existence. If he was 20 years younger he'd be the perfect GM for an NFL team right now.
They made no efforts. While listening to me complain about all the nothing they have done, while may be annoying to you and I'm sorry. But there is a flip side to that coin and listening to all the excuses as to why we have done nothing, and the idea behind the glorious master plan is as sickening. So are the jets rebuilding? Or are we going to do big things this year? Woody doesn't want to talk about patience. So which is it?
Did they not want them anymore?or could they not afford them anymore.Your telling me Bryd wasn't a good player because the Bills didn't want him anymore?Because that's basically what your saying, that no good players become free agents
I'm damn happy idzik is in charge, no need for insecure hair trigger GM's that'll pay a player for more than they valued them at just to save face and say they did something. Hes not unwilling to spend, he's unwilling to bend over and say "okay I thought you were worth this much but if you insist this higher amount I'm uncomfortable with I'll give it to you I just need to look like I'm making the right moves to appease fans and maybe keep may job-" none of that insecure BS. the type of scared over spending or easiness to do whatever it takes to get one or two guys will get us nowhere, we need a GM with balls who willing stick to his convictions rather than give up more than he wants out of fear of losing a player he didn't think THAT highly of on the first place. The "Just give 'em wheat they want" mantra won't get this team far, a GM that acts like theres a tomorrow is the most valuable one we can have right now.
Yes, really. Anyone who's convinced that all is lost when we've barely begun the offseason is deserving of the 'chicken little' title. That's not to say that you shouldn't be critical of offseason moves, but some here talk as if just because we haven't signed every high profile FA, we're doomed for the season. That's definitely what I would call a chicken little attitude.
I can't stand that guy ,He sounds like a know it all and always wants to sound like the smartest person in the room.
Byrd got much more money out of free agency than his play deserved. I'm sure the Bills wanted to keep him but not at 9M+ a year. I'm not saying no good players become free agents. I'm saying that no players whose teams really want to keep them become free agents, and part of that calculation is what the player thinks he is worth, which is usually substantially more than his value. If Eric Decker had gotten a $10M a year contract out of the Jets I'd be very unhappy with the signing. He's a good player but not valuable at that price. I don't think DeSean Jackson at 10M a year is going to be all that valuable to the Jets.
