it brings me joy that you wasted all that time typing up that crap just to try to prove a point to me. That said we both know the truth.Youre just a typical negative same old jet fan just looking for an axe to grind.Ill spare myself anymore wasted energy.Enjoy your ignorant bitching & moaning. About my dog
One of the fastest ways to see how full of crap a lot of these media guys are is to understand a little bit about contracts and the salary cap, which I generally research at overthecap.com. Ourlads.com has nicely laid out detailed and accurate depth charts, with a lot of interesting things like how each player was acquired, when he was drafted and by who, etc. It shows a lot of patterns in NFL signings. Ourlads has great scouting services too. Profootballfocus has good analysis and are usually very accurate in the ways they grade players. Articles like the one that just featured Bart Scott talking about Calvin Pace's role on defense are informing, I also watch a lot of games over, and from years past.
Glad I could turn you onto him. Quicker than fast? Watch again. Cooks has blazing speed. I think he ran the fastest 40 at the Combine (4.33). Lee ran only 4.52. Here's the link to his Combine profile: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/brandin-cooks?id=2543498
Ok, but realistically all opinions are arbitrary. That's why there opinions and we all gravitate towards people, web sights that support our feelings. My issues with idzik are mine I personally feels he's done a poor job improving the team. Outside of this board, you are hard pressed to find many who say otherwise. I follow and read enough of opinions all across the board on a wide range of things, people sharing the sentiment that idzik has sat on his hands is said by people I normally disagree with. So I don't think it's that far fetched my disappointment in him. While I will concede the ny media is harsh, there no reason for analyst on nfl network or writers for the nfl to over dramatize what he has done here. So I don't think it's a conspiracy to drum up headlines. The jets aren't relevant enough outside of ny where thy need to do that. If your argument is based on cap numbers and your understanding of the cap, is why we're making certain decisions. That's fine. I think we could have done more. The root of my problem is the lack of transparency. If your going to do nothing and hope to draft well and develop young players, come out and say so. I don't think it's particularly fair, rex is certain to be on the hot seat again when clearly he no longer has any say so in roster decisions. It's going to be a long year with the idzik plan. I will definitely check out the sights you recommend.
The thing is he has said that numerous times, listen to his introductory press conferences, his interviews, anything you can find. His public strategy is quite clearly to build heavily through the draft, and looking for bargain FAs in an effort to develop sustained success. It's a sentiment he is neither secretive about nor has he deviated from it.
I know right. How could you possibly understand a point? I, too enjoy that you're pretending you didn't waste just as much time figuring out how to contradict yourself over every 'point' you made. Never been called an SOJF before by anybody, wtg you're really cutting edge? Nah I think you'd rather just twist all of your principles into knots, anything to wash Idzik's sack regardless of how he undermines his own high picks or how dumb it makes you look to keep on polishing. By all means though, have fun dressing up your purebred fighting dog into Vick colors. Everyone else will get a good laugh out of it, even if you don't get it.
It completely depends on why the Jets go 5-11. First of all, I don't think the Jets will go 5-11, I think outside of NE the AFC East is pretty weak and we are a young improving team. I think the most likely reason we go 5-11 is because injuries ravage the team and in that case as long as the locker room doesn't descend into chaos of course Rex stays. If neither Geno nor Michael Vick work out and Decker isn't good and we end up not adding enough offensive talent, then no I still think Rex stays. The only way Rex goes is if the defense crumbles and become what they were in 2011. If we have a nearly identical defense and offense with the addition of Vick and Decker, what makes you think we will do so much worse than 2013? Especially with the draft not even done yet.
I dunno. I haven't heard anything about that. Even if he did, he'd be hard pressed to beat Cook's time when healthy.
I think hoping we draft phenomenal is tough. As bad as cromartie was last year hip injury and all he was better than Wilson and milliner. Not to mention Landry is terrible. .so this season rides on milliner and geno taking huge steps fwd. scary proposition. IMO
NO, re watch the games from last year Cromartie was a pile of shit even Darrin Walls looked better then Cro.
There's a few errors in the assumptions you're making though. 1, Cromartie was one of the worst CB's in the league, literally in the bottom five starters according to PFF. While Milliner struggled initially as many rookie CBs do, he improved dramatically. Both Milliner and Wilson were significantly better than Cro by the end of the season, without any doubt whatsoever. Landry is not terrible, he is a reliable, cost effective role player who has limited athleticism but does what Rex wants him to do. Milliner needs to maintain the level of play he had at the end of last season, and not wanting to ride completely on Geno is why we signed Vick, or did you forget about him already?
No he didn't.. But ok, let's hope all these guys step up. If it turns out cromartie was legit hurt and plays well with the cardinals. This was a huge mistake letting him walk.
Lol are you serious? I have every Jet game on my hard drive from last season trust me Cro was a pile of shit. Walls was actually decent in the limited snaps he got his hands are made of stone though. He dropped at least 3 picks that hit him directly in the hands but his coverage is actually very good.
