Absolutely. Makes our offense instantly credible. Probably adds several wins as well. Rescues Idzik's reputation as a plodding, careful GM to a risk taker when the risk is worthwhile (Goodson not withstanding).

No, we just finally got rid of a receiver like this...

Absolutely. I really hope the Jets can pull this deal for Jackson off. It's seems like a no-brainer for him he has good chemistry with Vick. It would be huge for the Jets to have a couple of bonafide receivers and help get this team back in contention, please make it so.

It really depends how much he want to play and how much he is going to cost.

A 27 year old downfield threat and burner of a receiver that fits our offense like a glove in terms of how not only he fits, but how he would then make Decker and Kerley fit in?

Unless you're talking about Holmes, which would just be a silly comparison.

You guys would pay him $9 million a year? With Decker getting $7 or $8 million?

Only if it comes with a long term contract extension.

Yep.. Shouldn't be a problem. Especially with a multiyear extension

for a third with the amount of picks we have, i would do it.decker jackson kerley gives us a good wr corp and the means to A. evaluate geno better B. instantly compete for a w.c.

if we do this though, kerley will probably not be re-signed next year, we still probably take a wr very early in the draft

Why wouldn't Kerley be resigned? He's our slot receiver. We'll have 3 WRs locked up for the long-term.

If we get D-Jax, this gives us more flexibility via draft. We prob don't get a WR in the draft. I wouldn't mind a scenario where the Eagles and the Jets swap picks in the first round

If the Jets traded for Jackson it would solidify Vick's hold on the starting Qb job. I can't see the Jets paying him 12 mil per season and don't see him agreeing to a pay cut unless they cut him. I also don't think Belichick would pony up that kind of bread either. But it looks like Chip Kelly wants to get rid of him.

Why not? As a slightly above-average slot receiver (which he is when you take off green glasses), he becomes a tremendous yet cheap talent given the players around him. I think he would be more likely to be re-signed and we would not likely take a receiver but rather a TE

I would trade for him,,,,,we are dealing from strength. ,,the eagles a are trying to unload him,,,at least everything we read and hear suggests they want him gone. He knows the offense MM knows him,,,,yep go get him

Except this one can catch the ball and is on the right side of 30.
Also this allows us to go TE/Safety in the first.

He is due $10.75M this year and $9.75M the next 2 years and would want more with an extension. That is why I voted unsure, for the talent absolutely want him but if he is going to be wanting a new contract every 2 years then not so sure.
