ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk 6m Britt will plan his next move over the weekend http://wp.me/p14QSB-9rBu Guess Britt wasn't impressed with this dump.
First I definitely have not been in an uproar about not spending, I've been promoting it. I think the problem is 1. DJax has had some labeling as a me-first guy. 2. He would cost us picks. 3. He is overpaid by AT LEAST 3-4 million. 4. He wants MORE money.
No I didn't. Learn to read or comprehend what your eyes see. I did NOT say that DJax didn't fit. I was speaking generally about players on other teams that are available.
I swear some of you guys need to go back to school and learn how to read. Again, I didn't say that DJax didn't fit our scheme. I was speaking generally about players on other teams that become available. DJax fits our scheme, but it sounds as if his character and salary won't fit, and he would probably be bad for team chemistry.
You know what happens when you assume. I think it was abundantly clear, that the rest was speaking generally, not specifically.
2009 - 4 dropped balls 2008 - 8 dropped balls 2007 - 3 dropped balls 2006 - 3 dropped balls 2005 - 7 dropped balls 2004 - 7 dropped balls 2003 - 11 dropped balls 2002 - 1 dropped ball 2001 - 3 dropped balls 2000 - 4 dropped balls
DJax would be a nice fit. Decker signing would look even better too. He has a negative persona but he can ball. Im not a big fan of giving up 2 picks for him though... The draft is too good... 4th rounder MAX because we are taking on that cap hit
Then you should not have mentioned scheme in regards to why we should not acquire Jackson. Our argument is about D-Jax, no other players are involved in this argument at this time. You should not have mentioned scheme at all. If you are trying to get a point across mentioning unnecessary crap will only cause more arguments.
Moss was maddening because he always gave up yardage running out of bounds to avoid a hit. On the board where I was posting at the time, Moss drove us all nuts with that, but he still was a good receiver.
Rich Cimini @RichCimini 20s Rex on whether they'll continue to upgrade O: "By the time we get through FA process, through draft, I think we’ll have some weapons." #nyj
those are good concerns but here's how I see it 1. Marty knows him and if Idzick brings him in, I trust this isn't an issue then 2. He's worth a 3rd 3. who cares 4. doesn't everybody? I'd say number one is the biggest question mark to us, the fans
http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/drops/2013/ You have to use the drop down to go from year to year...
THAT post didn't list reasons why we should not acquire DJax. That was in another post. I just made the statement that I didn't want him, then spoke in general terms. I started that part off with "A guy" not DJax. Perhaps I should have inserted a paragraph break after my first sentence saying I don't want DJax to make it clearer, but imo anyone with good reading comprehension could figure that out. I've been posting on various discussion lists for too many years not to know how quickly and carelessly too many posters read posts, then fire off responses, before stopping to think about what was actually said. I've been guilty of that myself in the past. I also make part of my living as a writer, and have gotten kudos numerous times on my writing skills. While they're not perfect, I think I do very good job of making myself clear.
Source? Even so, 1-4 dropped passes is considered very good. Looking at that list 2003 wasn't good in terms of dropped passes, nor 2008, and 2004 and 2005 may not have been desirable, but he had a lot of passes thrown his way and was still a very good WR for the Jets. You can't ignore that he kept the chains moving, racked up yardage and scored TDs for us.
