I don't know, I feel like he should be playing football somewhere. Not for the jets. Lol but somewhere
I don't understand? This is what Sanchez fans have been telling us for years. He won 4 playoff games. So I figure Eric Smith has the same elevated value since he won 4 playoff games?
Look guys who are Qbs for Podunk State got tryouts. So are you against an NFL team bringing him in for a look. Why? Or are you just another TT hater.
You don't have to be a TT hater to say he had a chance with three different teams and just wasn't good enough. As a Jet fan, I wanted Tebow and was happy when he arrived. It simply didn't work out for various reasons. One of those reasons is because he did not play well. Whether he should have been given another tryout somewhere else is not really something I care about.
Do you guys really think throwing out the "hater" talk helps your argument? It just shows you can't support your own position as if there was a giant conspiracy among 32 teams to keep the guy out who could send half those teams to the Super Bowl. ALL TEAMS ARE FREE TO USE TEBOW! None want to.
I never said Timmy was a great NFL Qb. I said he is one of the great NCAAF quarterbacks which is true. A lot of fringe players bounce around with different teams. Some guys who ended up great have been cut and signed and cut and signed until they finally get a chance to play. It isn't as if Timmy never had any success in the NFL. He even won a playoff game. So let's not get bent out of shape on this. He deserves a tryout with some NFL team. He has the credentials. That's all. I'm suspicious why he isn't getting any calls.
Hey Charlie, In all honesty I'm not a TT follower. You can believe it or not. I'm sure you won't lose any sleep over it either. But I think the guy deserves a shot. Whether or not you or I say he can't throw, etc. I've seen some of his passes and they were horrible. On the other hand some were not bad. It isn't like he doesn't have the arm. But of course you need accuracy in addition to arm strength. The guy can lead an offense. And win games. I wish the Jets had given him a chance when they had nothing to lose. But imo he deserves a chance in training camp with another team. There were rumors that teams wanted to sign him to play another position. To me he doesn't have the skill set to be a receiver or fullback. But if he got that chance and turned it down he isn't very smart. So what's your problem with that. Are you against having him in a camp to compete. If not we're on the same page.
Rex is the HC and I believe the Jets signed Vick with his approval which further shows Rex is a horrible HC.
I love Rex the head coach but the man has been emasculated and the Jets NEED to keep him off the radio. 3 years ago I couldn't wait to hear his press conferences, his interviews, his weekly spots. He was brash, proud, bold, funny and a great listen. Today I cringe just listening to him, you can hear his squirming as if it's almost audible through the radio waves. The Rex of Hard Knocks is gone. And if I hear this mantra of "competition" much longer I'm going to lose it. _
Rex is a whipping boy these days, and part of the weight he lost was his balls. What I liked about Rex as a coach is long gone and so should he be.
Funny that you missed my point. I love Rex the coach and last year he was great. He sounds like a bumbling fool now. _
I didn't miss your point nor was I saying you are wrong. I said it's funny how that is yet he still had arguably his best year. You would think it would go the opposite way by the way it sounds.
I guess being a coach and being the figure head aren't a necessary tandem. He's a great coach and someday I hope he gets his bravado back. I'm guessing he still has it within the confines of the team and the building. He just needs to stay off the radio for a while. I actually feel bad for him that he has to go answer to the masses because it's clear he has no answers. _
