His cap hit is just too much.. That's why they want to get rid of him.

Don't really want Jackson, because we are most likely going to have to trade a high pick.

I read a lot about it being overblown. He mentioned something about a new contract after 2 years but was provoked and then blew way out of proportion.

The good thing is if they want a third out of all the teams mentioned so far ours is the best deal for them.

yeah 12 mill a year... we can take that just fine for now, and cut him whilst gaining cap space if he's not worth it.

the question would be what would we give to get him? (assuming the rumors of being a problem are overblown) i don't like the idea of not having a third or higher so that should be out. maybe a 4th and a conditional 2015 pick?

not sure what to base that on...

The year after he signed a huge contract, he started publicly bellyaching and whining that he wasn't paid enough and wanted a new contract.

Shit i would give a third for him... He is that much of a game changer.. Idzik will find a way to work his contract so it benefits everybody in the long run.. Idzik you better get this shit done damnit.. We can't let a game changer like this slip away.

Dammit Revis... if he was on the Bucs for like an hour or so more a trade for a third would be an easier decision. We'd have one to spare!

I don't see how DeSean Jackson would end up here.... We have 3-5 WR/TE prospects that should be there when we pick in the first round. Izdik will take one of them, because he builds through the draft, not free agency/trades. Having said that, I just hope he doesn't go to the Patriots.

gonna try not to get too hyped about this prospect.

It WOULD be utterly perfect, and we would have the perfect Z to Deckers X making a fearsome dare I say top 5 WR tandem for as long as we'd like them to be here over the next three years.

I'd be fine with preserving picks too though.

i doubt the pats get him, they went after Gold Digger and have no cap space left for him.

They pulled enough cap foo bout to get Revis, I'm sure they could find a way to get Jackson. I hope not, but I wouldn't rule it out., and remember they are trying to catch up/pass the Broncos..... They need some punching power on offense... Just saying.

No problem, as soon as it was originally posted the pages were filling up quick, easy to get lost.

its a matter of looking to the future with DJAX.

trade a 3rd for DJAX for 2014= awesome move! IN 2014

but what if he holds out for more money the next year? what if not having a need at WR causes us to pass on a WR that could have been a cheaper alternative for the next 3 years?

sure he fits perfectly but for how long and how much?

thoughts to consider, still a nice move if done.... maybe. a 4th straight up and its nothing but good though.

Even if we traded for DJax I'd still draft a WR

Trade for a conditional pick next year, second if he is a stud, third if he does not hold out and a fourth if he does.

Fitzpatrick signed with the Texans so so much for including Sanchez in a trade.

It really doesn't sound to be in line with what Idzik done so far. Jackson is older, expensive, with heavy cap hit, and requires giving away draft pick(s).
I wonder if it's a ploy to create artificial demand to make sure the price doesn't go down for someone else.
