Yeah, but that's just so they can rip him to shreds. Dachsunds can be quite vicious. ;):p

I don't know if some of you are Jets fans interested in watching football or dog fans interested in watching the Westminster Dog Show. Vick paid for his crimes. Many NFL players did things that I consider deplorable to other humans. At this point in time, I would take a team full of Vicks over one Incognito, for example. Or how about the parade of wife and girlfriend beaters? Should we trade for Ray Rice?

Yes I want Vick.... Provided he is here to provide competition to Geno, not start over Geno. I think it's a good idea to bring someone in to push Geno, l mean we never did for Sanchez and look how that turned out.

Love watching him play, don't want him representing my team. Do I think he can help Geno? Yes. Do I think he has turned himself around and become someone that younger, troubled players can look up to? Yes. Do I think he can lead and inspire a team? Yes. Do I think Idzik wants to bring the circus back into town by signing a polarizing player like Vick? No. Do I want someone who has done what he has done and been a part of something that I cannot fathom a normal member of reasonable society doing on my football team? No.

People that don't forgive smh, I'm sure if your relatives or kids committed any sort of offense you wouldnt want people to hold it against them forever
This is how I feel, no one agrees with what he did, no one is happy about it, but its now 2014, he committed those crimes over seven years ago. If this was one of your family members, whether it be a brother, cousin, uncle, or whoever, I believe you would forgive them no matter the crime, you may not agree with what they did, but you would give them a second chance.

As for Vick, I think Idzik is basing this off a production level. If you replaced Vicks production with what Geno's was, the Jets might actually be a 10-11 win team. Im not a fan of Vick but he has thrown more TDs than interceptions, and if we had that last year, the Jets would have won even more games.

Vick does have a major fumbling issue, its whatever honestly, I would stick with Sanchez.

Don't be stupid soxxx. It's weak.

Just like if Vick electrocuted, beat, forced your pet to fight, drowned them, or hung them, you'd be forgiving right? Don't be sanctimonious.

The more I read this it, the more it pisses me off. You are probably okay because he committed crimes against dogs. Since you said, "offense" in general, I guess if someone raped a family member of yours (as someone has to mine), you'd be okay after a few years in jail? Why? Well, they paid their debt to society. Grow....the fuck....up.

I'm not comparing it, you did with this:
"I'm sure if your relatives or kids committed any sort of offense you wouldnt want people to hold it against them forever."

    Pathetic and obtuse.

I never really believed Mike Vick when he said he was sorry about what he did to those dogs. It takes a certain mindset and cruelty to do something like that in the first place. He said he was sorry because he was caught and he basically had to apologize. That is if he wanted to be reinstated. Maybe he thinks it's a crock of shit and what he did was ok. But he did time in Leavenworth and while I'm not going to run out and buy his jersey I don't care if he signs with the Jets. In other words I'm not looking for a role model. Who knows maybe he is sorry.

Hey....we've been posting together for awhile. Sorry if I'm too emotional, but Vick hits home on a lot of levels.

No hard feelings either way. Thanks for letting me vent at you.

Did Vick kill your pet? Get over it, you big baby. It's been 7 years. No one in the history of human man kind has lost so much for just killing dogs. 2 years of his prime career, over 200 million dollars, his job, etc... His punishment was too severe.
