No. And if we sign him I will stop rooting for this team. I simply can not root for a team who chooses to employ a convicted felon and dog killer. i wont spend another dime on this team while he is on it.

humans hurt eachother every day as well. does that make killing humans ok? some of us ARE vegitereans or vegans. and even if you arent, there is still a big difference between killing an animal to survive vs. torturing one for your own amusement. to not associate a difference between the two is just ignorance

I don't like Vick for what he did, but I don't hate him. I have forgiven him for his actions, but that doesn't mean that just because he has done some positive things with Philly since he got out of prison I should want him on the Jets. For one thing, I don't think he's that good any more. He was never great, but with age and injuries, his skill has greatly diminished. Just as importantly, is the circus it would create. Think of all the liberals in NYC. They're gonna come out of the woodwork and have a field day in the media. The minute Vick stepped on the field, boos would come cascading down on him, probably at a level much worse than they would Sanchez. IMO Vick is not the answer. I'd rather have Jason Campbell or the QB from Detroit whose name escapes me at the moment.
That's the other issue here. He may not have changed at all, may just be doing what he has to do to continue making money in the NFL. The minute he retires from the NFL, he could be right back in the dog-fighting business. I hope he has changed, but it's not often that people's character changes that dramatically. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but don't want him on the Jets for the reasons I previously stated (age, injuries, declining skills).
Reality is away from football he's a sociopath. They don't change. Deriving pleasure from the suffering of anything shows a lack of empathy. To bring up vicks past is petty. theres plenty of other understandable reasons to not want him on the jets but that shit is just wack. once we get more weapons via draft if Geno still some how happens to F up on the field (which I'm praying and rooting that he won't) with the way the QB market looks and our roster looks i'd rather have VICK playing to save Rex's job than Simms.. or even Mark SanchASS. Theres nothing wrong with having a decent backup plan
Why is it petty? In my eyes, we'd be paying millions of dollars to someone who deserved a little more time in the joint than what he got. Say what you want, but I consider his actions deplorable. Just because society has deemed him rehabilitated doesn't mean everyone has to accept that he is rehabilitated. Again, as I stated before, I can separate being a fan of a team from real life. As a human being, I know I should forgive him for what he's done, but I think what he did is such a sadistic act that forgiveness doesn't come easy since he's such a twisted individual. As a Jets fan, I want what's best for the team, and I feel I can root for the Jets and him without having a respect for him as a person.
