Well...that certainly puts the nail on the CB coffin as far as anything in FA goes. We are now stuck with trade rumors and the draft...and if we blow a 1st round pick on a CB I will personally fly out to NY and smack the piss out of someone.

I don't think he has resolved his legal issues, the Jets just pushed his roster bonus to next year.
I figure it was probably a restructure or we cut you type deal.
Coming off last year he probably figured if he got cut he would be looking at vet minimum elsewhere if at all so he took the restructure.

I legitimately believe they think they have a CB currently on our roster that can be a starter along with Milliner. Time will tell.

This is Goodson's last chance. He's not going to get signed anywhere with pending legal troubles hanging over his head in NJ. The Jets were merciful to him in not cutting him and just pushing the roster bonus back to next year.

I certainly hope you are right...Milliner I can see the potential but Wilson is a fantastic Nickel guy....ONLY. He is a disaster on the edge...but we shall see.

Cro gets a one year deal and we didn't want him? Can't wait to hear all the Idzik apologists now.

Really unlikely. He has a big cap number and the Titans will be looking to get something of real value for him. $8M is a lot for a RB these days.

1 year deal and he badly wanted to return. would have taken just about anything. Idzik didn't want him for some reason. is the hip injury long term?

damn Cro's gone? they must be more confident in what they have at Corner then we are certainly. I think that was a very possible return if they wanted it to be.

Some might say this leads to CB being a need. given how easy it would had been to bring him backI say their at least as confident in that position as they are in the TE's. they like what they have, its upgradable and an option for a draft pick but NOT a necessity in their eyes.

Walls is only average, Miliner can become more than above average and is likely to become Rex's next anchor struggles be damned. But Idzik apparently believe they can get the job done. I think they can too... but I'm not certain of that and having a stop gap for this year at least would have nice.

hell, what am I saying, thats STILL possible.

He has said he'll take a pay cut to help facilitate a trade, he never mentioned how much of a cut, though.

you can trash this thought if you want, but Terrell Thomas would be a nice addition on the cheap. Low risk, high reward kind of signing...2010 this guy was a beast, but then 2 seasons ending back to back with ACL tears. Played decent last year, but as they say your better on the second year back from an ACL. Not saying this has to happen and I am also of the belief that our management believes we have the guys to start in house or will after the draft.
