One big difference between the article you posted and the previously posted article is the name of the person who made the statement rather than an anonymous source. Lends much more credence to it. Nice find.
It's really amazing that a high-brow publication like the NY Times can't even spell anonymous source correctly. They can't even spell it consistently. In several quotes there they misspell it Rich McKay. In other quotes they screw up and misspell it Rod Graves. Then they misspell it John Schneider! Then Jerry Angelo! I mean that's some of the most shoddy journalism I've ever seen! Misspelling anonymous source like that over and over again. It's very confusing. I mean knowing who actually said things is not how the game is played. I don't trust that article at all because the anonymous sources aren't consistently spelled and no attempt seems to be made to cover up where things are coming from. I mean how can a guy lie for a living successfully while he is posting who his sources are? Somebody might check up on him to see if what he wrote was accurate. Somebody without an agenda to trash the Jets that is.
Gary Myers is a moron. I'm amazed that he still has a job. He knows less about football than any "major" sportswriter I've ever seen. I pay no attention to him any more.
These newspapers are embarrassing and very desperate now to make money. They can barely scrape the amount of cash they were pulling in a decade ago. Its also why they cant pay for quality journalists and have to pull people off the street like Manish Mehta.
Sorry but anything NYJ coming out of the Daily News has zero credibility. It's a well know fact. Even Adam Schein reflected on their total lack of integrity when it comes to the two worthless beat hacks they have selected for the job. Anyone that chooses the DN to read about the Jets is wasting money or paying to be insulted by an idiot writer.
How come only Jets fans think this and not the rest of the world or sports world?Other major sites are always reporting Manishs qoutes in there news no one seems to think this but Jets fans only,With zero evidence of what you accuse him of doing,If you put him on trial you wouldn't win, unless Jstokes was the lawyer
What he says doesn't bother me its how he goes about it, almost all of his reporting is based on anonymous sources, that is cowardly journalism at its finest. Every Journalist has his sources but this guy has made a career strictly off nameless faces who for all we know could be the fucking Janitor in the building. When he actually writes an article its always filled with back handed cheapshots thrown in, he pretty much wrote the fucking book on piling on.
He's a garbage reporter. He writes all this stuff but in the press conferences he never actually asks questions about his reports. Look at this crap he wrote last summer: "Rex Ryan's trip to Clemson game shows he is losing interest and influence with NY Jets" Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...est-influence-article-1.1444054#ixzz2wWNX1wtr http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...s-losing-interest-influence-article-1.1444054 Explain that garbage to me? a baseless story to stir up drama is all I see. And why doesnt Mehta stand in front of Rex and ask "Rex, according to my report that I WROTE, it appears you are losing interest in coaching because you are going to clemson games, would you like to comment?" Mehta is coward and has fabricated stories and the DailyNews is ok with it because they are scraping for money and the guys in charge are under pressure to sell papers, so thats why crap like this is allowed, because when there is no story, they have to make up a story to sell. Perhaps if the DailyNews had quality writers, people would actually buy what they sell, but they have put themselves in a hole and cant pay for quality writers, thats why you end up with shit like Mehta.
It would appear official as they had him rework his deal to shift some roster bonus around and no his legal troubles are not over. This is Jersey a case like this can be dragged out over 2-3 years
I totally agree. When I first moved to NYC in '86, the Daily Snooze was the paper I liked best, but it didn't take long for me to realize what a bunch of Jets-hating hacks they were.
Rich Cimini @RichCimini 2m Popular ex-Jet RT @RapSheet Jerricho Cotchery was choosing b/w #Steelers + #Panthers; he’s chosen Carolina. Final details being hammered out better Carolina than Pitt. I know he is older but I wonder why we didn't give him a look? still a productive player and great LR guy.
