I wonder what kind of compensation the Eagles need to let go of Jackson, hes a big time playmaker and would compliment Decker perfectly.
I would say a 3rd or 4th id be surprised if anyhting lower then that id trade one of our 4ths in a heart beat and would seriously consider a 3rd
I would give up a 3rd no problem for Jackson, not only would he be reunited with Marty but his speed is incredible.
I would give up a 3rd for Jackson, no questions asked. He is EXACTLY the kind of receiver we need to complement Decker and Kerley. He's a downfield burner. That opens up the field in all the spots Decker/Kerley work the best.
And he is one the best punt returners that we also lack desperatley. It would fill two needs.Genos deep ball is one of his best qualitys and we don't have a guy with his kind of speed
Last night it was reported they would want a 3rd "or higher" but that they weren't actively trying to trade him.
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 2m MJD is visiting the #Steelers today, source said. He is being patient, talking to several other teams, trying to find the right fit.
I'd love to have Jackson but apart of me would prefer to draft a younger receiver. The pros of bringing in Jackson would be that we'd be able to draft another position of need in the first round. The cons is that we'd be giving up a draft pick.
Perhaps, but I really don't think the agent expected us to go from a 1 year prove it deal, to a 5 year anything ,or jump up a couple mil for a 1 year deal. I don't blame the agent, that's his job to look for the best deal possible for his client, it just seems like too large a difference for DRC to consider both offers seriously.
I really think they're looking for a Percy Harvin-like deal. I suspect they're either going to get bowled over by somebody or the situation will drag out into camp with the Eagles hoping somebody's #1 WR goes down with an injury. Jackson's second highest catch total beside last year is 62 and that was 5 years ago. Caveat emptor. Big time.
He gets $10.73M this season plus with incentives it looks like he may be able to add another $800,000 more putting him over $11.5M Not sure if the incentives are actually attainable but it is $4M in incentives, just figured they would be spread out over the 5 years. There are the numbers rotoworld has
I think Vick is the best qb to "mentor" Geno. They are very similar. If Geno became a more durable Vick I'm satisfied. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Overthecap says $10M signing bonus, 4.96M in salaries + 1.04M in bonuses over the next two years including a $1M roster bonus next year. That's essentially $16M guaranteed unless the Giants cut and run after one year, taking a $9.25M dead money hit next year to do so.
I'm really liking this Breno Giacomini signing: http://www.newyorkjets.com/videos/...Micd-Up/97e41eab-5c45-494e-b3a9-af696479bd61
