Kentucky is a brutal second round matchup for a #1, but I guess that would be considered a failure. Just know that in terms of the odds, Kentucky would only be a small underdog.

Manhattan is complaining. I heard their coach on the radio yesterday.

It hurts Manhattan as well as Wichita State, but it really hurts Wichita State more, because Manhattan wasn't going to make the Elite Eight either way.

    I would've had:

    Florida, Arizona, Louisville, Wichita State
    Virginia, Duke, Villanova, Kansas
    Michigan State, Creighton, Wisconsin, Michigan
    VCU, UCLA, Syracuse, Ohio State

Virginia and Wichita State could've gone to the midwest.

I think UCLA as a 4 seed is way too high

Iowa State could've been a 4 instead of UCLA or Ohio State.

Last year Robert Morris beat #1 Kentucky in the first round of the NIT.

This year, Robert Morris leads #1 St. John's by 22 at the half. Home game for St. John's.

I'm sure a LOT of people said the same thing about Wichita State last year.

No worse than Gonzaga or Memphis

I didn't. Wichita State was a 9 seed and they were much better last year than Manhattan is this year.
    Huge difference.

Manhattan was not going to make a deep run this year.

I would ABSOLUTELY use the AP Poll in this argument. The same AP Press that is writing about Kentucky's seeding are the same people who voted them identically to Memphis and Gonzaga,.

The AP poll is hardly a good measure to use. I didn't know the AP was writing about it.

    UK was underseeded.

I think UK was worthy of an 8. talent wise they should be a 1 but they had a terrible year in a weak conference. the run to the title game saved them a bit, maybe they should have been a 7 but an 8 isn't outrageous.

either way, the point is that if you took a poll of which 8 you'd rather face, basically no one one would pick Kentucky.

Going by the AP poll is silly. Villanova is 6th, Iowa State is 9th, Michigan State is 11th.

Who do you think teams would least like to face?

UK is scary b/c they have talent but they haven't played up to that talent the majority of the year.

    exactly

and that's what we're talking about here.

Hackett is saying UK isn't scarier than the other 8s and Wichita State has no reason to complain.

I think it's clear that Louisville is considered the most dangerous 4 and UK the most dangerous 8.

When JUNC is actually agreeing with me, that says something!
