I would love to think that Walls is ready to start. But seeing as how they rarely used him last season, and when they did he did not really impress, when the other CB's were playing poorly, I doubt he's about to have a Pro Bowl season now.

We had the worst WR group of all time last year..this year we will have the worst secondary of all time. I am so freaking angry at this GM

We still need a #1 / #2 caliber corner. Walls might get there, but he also might not. We can't base the CB position on what might happen with players like Walls breaking out. He might, but if he doesn't, and Milliner doesn't become a true #1, we are getting torched again.

Getting Cro back wouldn't be aggressive, though. We need somebody to stabilized the position until the #1 drafted CB pans out.

Other than praying for Walls to get better, and the truly awful prospect of using a high draft pick at Cb, I don't see any alternative at this point to bringing Cromartie back. I just hope he's healthy and the FO does not fail to do that.

I look forward to seeing Darrin Walls step in and be the starter.

It looks like a roller coaster ride for the Jets this season. It goes for good,to not very good, to awful. If Idzik pulls off a (earned) wild card slot for this team he should enshrined in The Jets HOF.

Our main focus is going to be on offense whether Rex likes it or not. He'll get his CB but not a super expensive one.

    1. I would like to see the Jets draft a CB - preferably in the middle of the round or low round. That should go with a vet signing that will not break the bank.

    2. Jets still have gigantic hole at both OLB spot and safety spot. David Harris is getting old as well - so his replacement should be drafted, preferably at low round. OLB replacement is actually critical - Jets may have to burn a high draft pick for OLBs.

    3. Jets offense has been a disaster for some time as well.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All these point to having more than 1 off season to rebuild. You have to have some patience - Tannenbaum fucked it up beyond any recognition, and it will take some time to repair all the damages he has done. Just pray that Jets coaching staff can coach their players to the potential. With correct building philosophy and practice, Jets should be competing in 3 seasons.

[If Richardson pick doesn't convince you of Idzik's eye for talent, I don't know what to tell you; if I remember, the entire world was skeptical except the Jets brass. As it turned out, the entire world was wrong, and Jets were correct in the evaluation. Probably it would be a good idea to let that man handle the draft and see how things go, no?]

Fixed. If we pull off a playoff birth with no depth at corner and no #1 CB, TE or WR, Rex will deserve the credit if anybody.

Too bad, they will draft CB #1.

Barnes, Coples, Pace isn't a gigantic hole, we just need some depth. I'd draft one in the mid rounds if anything. Now safety on the other hand I agree with and we'll need one early if available. The way this FA is shaping up our first 3 rounds will likely be: CB, Safety, OLB, in a draft stocked full of offensive talent.

You don't even know what the draft board looks like. Beep me back after Jets burn 1st round pick on CB again.

You obviously weren't watching the games last year, eh? No fucking wonder.

Barnes, Coples and Pace are ALL liability in pass coverage.

Maybe Idzik just doesn't want to spend that much money on a CB. Most teams if they're lucky have one good one who makes money and a second tier guy or two. Maybe the Jets think Milliner is that top guy. And are willing to fill out the CB slots without having a second shut down CB.

Totally down with this. A full offseason for milliner will definitely help him. I also think walls will improve if he gets some of the reps. He always seemed to be in the right spot last year but just never made the big play when In position.

Let's hope Milliner can play like he did the last 3 or so games of this past season, cause we're screwed at the moment if he doesn't.

I would draft Dennard in round 1. The media would killl it but that kid is going to be a player. He fits Rex's D perfectly.
