The good thing is we can actually do the research and prove you right or wrong. The bad thing? Who wants to do the research?

These kind of situations are one of the main reasons I don't buy jerseys lol

If I ever get one it will be one with a customized name

I don't know if the clearance sale is still going on, but yesterday, I was able to get myself a Nike Limited (these are the more authentic looking ones that are regularly $139.99) Tebow away Jersey for $18.99 (It was $23.99 but got an additional 20% off with my NFL Points Card).

I'm not a huge Tebow fan, but to get a limited jersey of any kind for that price is a good deal, plus the # 15 is my wedding anniversary, and believe it or not, one day I think it would be cool to look back and remember the year that Tebow was a Jet lol. Especially if he is President one day (stranger things have happened: See Schwartzenager, and R. Raegan).

    Really?

No Martin? No Pennington? Lyons? Testaverde? Hell, even Shaun Ellis put in 11 years as a Jet. Maybe wasn't a top DL but you have to appreciate an above average, consistent, player that contributed every year. Plus threw a large chunk of snow at opposing fans.

I threw my Sanchez jersey out after the 2012 season.

I don't hate Revis enough to start a fire, I think that's a bit excessive. I'm perfectly fine either throwing it out, or giving it to Goodwill.

How Curtis Martin isn't on your list is beyond me.

I was doing cartwheels when Jets acquired #1 for Revis last year. [What did Bucs get for him? Probably comp at the end of 3rd round. Ha! That is 2 picks for a service of ONE YEAR. Holy shit!] When Sheldon Richardson was beasting, I was ecstatic. When Milliner was turning into a solid pro by the end of the year, I was more than elated. [I included BOTH - so no bullshitting. Ok?]

He was a mercenary first, football player second, a championship hunting teammate probably last. I am glad his fucking ass is gone.

Read my other posts. I answered why. I would think reading is beyond you and not why I didn`t have Martin on my original list.

Yea no... I stopped when I didn't see Curtis... Everything else you have to say is irrelevant.

again, read my other posts. As for Chad? Not worthy enough imo. Too injury prone and he left for the Dolphins(I would guess Pats fans feel the same about Curtis Martin). Marty Lyons is a complete douche. Met him several times and each/every time he was a douche. Maybe he`s different now as a person but if it wasn`t for Klecko and Gastineau, he`d be nothing more than a defensive lineman. Shaun Ellis would be fine on the list I guess. Just trying to keep the list small otherwise we might as well just put every player who ever played for the Jets. Testaverde was no Namath. Imo, he wasn`t even O`Brien. Just trying to keep the list to players who basically started and ended their careers as a Jet player, give or take a year or 2(Klecko going to Indy and Namath going to Rams for instance). I guess you can also argue that Blair Thomas would be worthy enough since he only played for the Jets and one other team for a season.

They cut him so they don't get a comp pick

Spectacular. So... the bookkeeping goes like this then?

    1. Stood pat -> Got 1 year service of Revis and 3rd round comp pick; Revis walks free.

    2. Trade Revis -> Got MULTIPLE years of service from Sheldon Richardson [Or Milliner - Without Revis trade, Jets are not getting both.] + 4th round pick this year; again, Revis walks free.

So, all in all, Jets replaced Revis with a stud 1 round pick player. And Bucs got nothing to show for it.
[And people hate this deal. Shaking my head in disbelief.]

I wanted Revis gone after his second holdout. I think we all pretty much knew where he was going with the Jets at that point. Why we held on, I have no clue? He got injured and became damaged goods after that. Luckily for Woody & The Jets, they probably got the best deal they could`ve gotten at that point. They simply waited too long imo. Like everyone keeps saying, the NFL is a business. If so, you need to trade players away when they are ripe regardless of how good they are, or could/could`ve been. This is what sickens me about the NFL. Just get rid of the player when he is at his prime, which is a double edged sword, but??? It would be like trading Joe Namath away in 1967. You can`t win unless luck sticks something up there. Luck is something the NY Jets have had ONCE. Nothing since.

Please do so. I have faith in you that can try to prove me wrong.

Not sure how long you have been a fan of this franchise but, there have been thousands of times where the Jets would be at 3rd. & 3 and get 2 or less yards. There have been thousands of times on defense when the opponants would be at 3rd. and 13 and the Jets give them 13.1 yards. And thats after the fans were in a major frenzy screaming their lungs out with viens protruding from their foreheads. Been there a thousand times. It`s just Jets fate. I don`t want to be involved in that, nor do I think I can at this age anymore. I ain`t no 23 yeard old kid anymore. I got burnt out I would think. It`ll happen to the young`uns too. Happens to all Jets fans.

    D) Woody`s pocket

Woody knew he couldn`t do it anymore without screwing the fans who already overpay for his product. It was different years ago. The Jets were the cheapest NFL ticket in the league. Woody elevated the Jets to one of the most expensive, yet still a sucky/chokey team. I still think the Jets will suffer a major exodus of current fans overpaying for this stuff. Just my opinion. Everything "Jets" I ever knew for 30 years is all gone now. It`s an entirely new fanbase, tailgating tradition happening out there. How long will it continue? I don`t know. What I did know is gone. Just a new ball game now. And too costly for me and my family. We have found new, and much more affordable things to do during the fall/winter weekends.

Same here, I would really like to get a Mo-Wilk jersey, but with Idzik being cheap I wonder how hard the negotiations will be. I feel as tho buying a jersey is a curse.

I can do the research. It would just be timely. Other than a handful of games where there was some sort of conflict, I have seen every Jets game live since '84.

I do not recall Martin consistently failing on 3rd and 3.

F that, though. I have the access to the gamebooks, but I didn't bring this up. The burden is on you, sir, to prove that Martin was a failure.

By the way it is always funny to see supposed fans of a particular team massacre the best players in team history.
