I don't like Lee either and if I'm not mistaken he had a ton of drops this year too..still I think that's Idzik's choice if he and Cooks are the only two receivers left on the board..if we go receiver at all.
DRC isnt a great player, and revis is certainly that much better. there is a reason 3 teams have already given up on DRC
It very well could be. But when does even that happen? I'd say relying on 5th 6th and 7th rounders to compete right away isn't the best strategy. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
who said anything about 5 years? im just saying it doesnt have to happen in 1 year. and its greating going from 4-12 to 11-5. you know whats better? winning 10 or more games every year because you arent locked into a bunch of mediocure overpaid players and everyone on your team is paid their worth
Maybe not 5 years...but who said anything about the jets taking 5 years to turn things over? The reason WHY you see teams go from 4-12 to 11-5 consecutively is B/C of being too aggressive in FA. If you remain prudent & composed with your contracts & the way you build your roster, in short time you can create alot of stability that allows from building/keeping a core of good young players. Hence not needing to constantly replace & turnover via the market year after year. All these teams that spend spend spend in FA for a 2 yrs & then stink for 2 yrs are caught in a vicious circle. Me personally,I'd like to see the Jets build something slightly more stable & sustained.
Like I said a few days ago, this Jets team has a ton of holes to fill going into the draft. They've also missed out on most of the top available FA talent, some at reasonable prices. And Idzik's relying on Bradway's evaluations for the upcoming draft?
Doubt it as we can't trade comp picks, as for the other post we have 5 in the first 4 since Revis we let go.
And my point is. Relying on free agency to fill a few holes but building through the draft is the right strategy. They've realistically only improved one position from the prior year so far. Contrary to what many of you on here are posting, free agency can be done intelligently. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Really? There have been some pretty damn good draft classes constructed by championship squads through the years. Many believe this is the best overall draft class in at least a decade. It can be done. The Jets have the ammo to do it.Just takes patience...something many on here don't have.
And only two teams have already given up on Revis. Humm not sure I follow, since NE will give up on Revis at the end of this year.
See this is where people aren't understanding me here. If you have cap space and spend it SMARTLY on a few players to enhance depth, then kill it in the draft you'll have a great team. No team builds only through the draft despite what many people are saying here. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Sure and that opinion is fine. Some fans are going crazier then me. But some of you that aren't concerned at all are just as ridiculous as the people who are going insane. There has to be some sense of concern even if it's minute. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
I agree with Wilk, Kerley is not at all important, Brick and Mangold I still want but they have to be careful with them and how many more years they can go.
