To be fair, I don't think it's nitpicking. I love Bray and thought the Jets should have kept him over Tone. That's where I disagree with ne3vbeats319. Rice has only had one good season and is coming off a serious injury. He isn't a Jeremy Maclin-level talent, so I don't see the interest in Rice. Last year, I could understand it with little cap space. But it is starting to appear as if Idzik is being cheap just for the sake of being cheap. He doesn't need to go with the "cheap" players this year. We all know that one of the problems Geno faced last year was that he never had the same receivers from week to week. It makes no sense that Idzik would want to go there again. In Maclin's case, it was worth the risk. In Rice's it isn't imo. He has only played the full 16 games in 2 seasons, has never had over 7 TDs in a season, and only had one good season.
a Jacoby Ford type is a depth guy, speed guy, STs guy. he's not going to cost much. This won't be good enough for impatient Jet fans but it is a nice low cost move that can't hurt. most of his value will be on STs but maybe we get a Jacoby Jones type who starts to break out on O in year 4 or 5?
Ted Ginn wouldn't be that much more expensive, I don't think (but could be wrong), and not only would he offer more as a KOR, but more as a WR too.

Seriously though, Moreno can ball and make big plays. dealt with injuries first few years. Hes mccoy-ish in terms of skillset. much better comp to mjd than mjd.

The problem is that neither of them is prolific in the passing game. Ivory is terrible and powell is serviceable in the passing game. Enter Moreno and you've got a weapon on a checkdown.
I only think we should add another back if Goodson isn't on the team.. If he is on the team, we are set at running back. Ivory could be a Top 10 RB in this league he just doesn't get enough carries... This guy gets stronger and nastier as the game goes on. Our offense needs to be centered around giving him the ball.. Give him the rock 25 times a game. On 1st and 2nd down he should be getting the ball no question... That will set up more 3rd and shorts instead of 3rd and longs.... Powell is that good change of pace back.. He doesn't do anything great but does everything well... At least once a game he will break a 20 yarder... Solid #2. Goodson if healthy and done with all his off the field shit, could be a serious threat... Guy has the speed to take it the distance every time... Fuck CJ2K and Jones-Drew... They are washed up scrubs.. I want to stay young at RB, not get older.
Goodson was meant to be that guy but he's coming off an ACL tear, and has legal issues. Id cut ties if u could land Moreno.
MJD is 100x's the pass blocker and receiver. MJD is basically what you get if mushed powell and ivory into one HB.
Because everybody is suggesting we get Moreno, or CJ2K or Jones-Drew.... Give Ivory a damn chance to prove he is the guy... Dude beasts on the field and then Marty takes him out...
