They're expecting Dansby to have the kind of year he had last year which is possible, but he is older. The Whitner for Ward move really makes no sense. Maybe Ward really just wanted out of Cleveland; can't blame him.

The Browns have a lot of talent. With Jordan,Gordon, Tate and Hawkins their offense could be very good if they get some decent QB play. Lot of explosive players on offense. Their defense could also be very good with Pettine. Its hard not like Pettine after reading that Low Crossover book. Revis should have really considered the Browns. He could have fit in very well there with him,Haden and Whitner and Pettine running the defense that could have been a nightmare secondary for offenses. I hated Ward leaving for Whitner. It seemed like an expensive downgrade. But they are a team to watch.

That offense truly scared defenses last season. With the additions this year on offense and that dominant O-line, who can stop them?

Yeah, they won't pay him that but it's going to be their headache to deal with. You're right on Davis we got screwed. Other than him we didn't have any realistic options until now DRC!

There's a benefit for the Pats also. They can split the $12mil cap hit ($7 this year and $5 next). The only way Revis stays in NE after this year is if they work out an extension.

Why do other teams sign guys in 10 seconds yet every time a guy visits the Jets, it takes forever?

I heard Tanny took Holmes out for a quick bite at Mickey D's, then forked over the 50 million dollar deal.

Shouldn't there be an update on DRC by now, that he's closing in on a contract? Worries me that it's been so quiet today on that front.....
......also, do you guys think we should sign Ryan Fitzpatrick as a backup QB?

Enough with this Patriots bullshit. That team isnt the 07 powerhouse. Geno SHOULD HAVE beaten them twice last year. Their team aint shit.

Their offense is crap, it's only functioning because of Brady. Their defense is gonna be worse without Spikes. Revis and Browner, whatever they arent untouchable.

Just relax guys, it's gonna be a fun season.

    1. No news is sometime good news, at least we haven't heard "he left jets facility without a deal.
    2. Heck no. Hill, Vick, Campbell would be better options + plus late round qb in draft

hey, don't knock Tanny's methods man, after some tense negotiation he had Holmes pay for the meal as a concession. The whole front office got like at least a quarter pounder meal that day. :p

hes not bad as a backup, but we want somebody that can compete with Smith supposedly. I'd be for it, though I'm sure others would still like to give Sanchez another chance to prove he's a game manager if orion and mars are lined up correctly or something.

If DRC is available at a bargain rate the Jets are probably going to sign him. If he's holding out for top dollar they're not. I don't know what the Giants will do, or any other team for that matter, but the odds on the Jets getting held up by DRC at this point are pretty low. If it was in the plans to spend top dollar on a CB this year the Jets wouldn't have gotten shutout on all the guys who signed top dollar contracts a few days ago.
