I can never see the day where anyone will bitch about the fact we paid a guy that yes...with Payton Manning, he averaged over 80 receptions..but yes..he had 8 td catches from Tebow and Orton. I cant see putting my head on the pillow at any point next year and saying why oh why are we paying this guy 7 million a year..or 15 million only guaranteed. So many things to bitch about being a Jet fan..this isnt a fight I would chose..would rather celebrate it.

I'm not as convinced he will be an elite player. I agree that his athletic ability is off the charts, but if he doesn't pan out as well as many think, he wouldn't be the first with off the charts athletic ability that didn't make it in the NFL. That said, I'm sure that if he's there at #18, he will be the bpa available and the Jets will take him, as they should. I can't say with certainty that Cooks or Beckham will be elite, either. I guess I'm just old fashioned. I prefer great WRs and 2-way TEs that are more prototypical size. If the Jets are fortunate enough to get Ebron, I'm sure I will be very happy and more than just "live with it."
you dont know what your talking about... they already have a couple of big tall targets..they wanted a speed wr that can break runs after catch..tate can play on outside and in the slot... they needed that
