I think the Jets need a 2-way TE, and just don't see Ebron ever being that. He's a great prospect, and if the two TEs we have our roster already were better blockers than receivers, I'd want Ebron too, but they're not.

I just believe Ebron is going to be an elite player, I can't say that with 100% certainty with Cooks and Beckham. I don't throw the word "elite" around too often. IMO, Ebron will be a top 5 TE in this league for a long time. Ebron's athletic ability is off the charts.

Nicks got a 1 year deal in Indy. If he produces big time, and is the #1 wr he's been, it will be a huge indictment on Idzik, bc this guy was there for the taking for a team so thirsty for wrs .... and he was had on the cheap cheap. I think it was a huge mistake not to pursue him.

Nicks is on the decline and has has an injury history. Idzik looks like he's taking on players in their prime or on the rise, not Tanny-type retreads.
If the Jets dont get Rodgers-Cromartie or at least bring back ACro then the defense is in enormous trouble. Basically Idzik will be forced to draft a cb in the 1st round and that just stinks. Oh we also need a Starting guard. any way u slice it, this has not been a good free agency period for Idzik. i do not think they had to spend all their money on huge overpriced contracts but they did not fill holes and now there are bums left. Say what u want but i bet Tanny wouldve gotten Decker and Nicks plus a Cb, a guard, and even a safety. He probably wouldve spent all the money though lol. One more thing .... why arent the Jets looking into Edelman? Hes the kind of super slot guy that even Revis is not great against.

Tanny is the one who put this team in cap hell and continued to give up draft picks which has effected the depth of the team. FA is for overspending owners and the majority of the time it hurts the team. FA seems sexy and exciting, but it's not the main way to build a franchise.
