    Yeah you do.

    You're the Sanchez hater.

    You're the Decker hater.

Who else? Holmes? Vlad? Gholston? Pace? Wilson? Rex? Woody? Lam Jones? Abraham? Revis? Louie Aguiar? What other Jets have you hated over the years?

If Sanchez throws him the ball he might get 1000 yards.

I'm in the mood to start banning people that never learn and take warnings serious.

Jets, Colts, Lions, Bears, 1960s Chargers. Top 5.

I love the new Bucs uniforns. They're easily the best uniforms in the league.

    It's Eric Decker's birthday today. Now he's 27.

Another year older, another year without winning a championship. Clearly we shouldn't have gotten him in free agency. /s

I think we gave fair market value to Decker, but still overpaid. We didn't overpay by a lot, but we gave him more than his ability is worth. By comparison, Hakeem Nicks just signed with the Colts for half the money - that's a steal.

Yeah...it'll be interesting to see how Decker does w/o Manning delivering the football.
If Decker really is a "system guy" like some say...well, we've had a pretty shitty system.

two years from now he'll be "old" because he's almost 30, and when he's reached 30 we put him in a home and go after a 23 year old so he can have a 6 year career with 4 productive seasons.

A steal? for this year on a team closer to competing, sure.

but thats gonna drive up the cost of retaining him next year, another reason i'm happy we got Decker on this deal is because of future cap flexibility without the threat of free agency.

after his second year the team can go on to renegotiate his contract to alleviate cap space if needed, among other options. Point is they hold all the cards and have saved themselves the headache of trying to keep a guy for a FA inflated price after a show me season.

Guys like nicks and Maclin are gonna want more per season starting next year, and I'm betting a heftier amount of guaranteed money will be included in whatever deal they receive. thats ESPECIALLY if the cap increases again.

Decker makes 6.5 mill next year, what will Nicks want to make next year if he's any good at his age? we may have gotten better value from the scenario we attained Decker in than one with a hungry WR looking for his only chance at a payday that he'd JUST PROVED he's worth (or else didn't and thus wasn't worth it all)

but yeah, its a nice deal for the 2014 Colts. lets hope it helps them beat the Pats.

I have not seen this mentioned anywhere:

Decker's career postseason totals, over 5 games / starts

    13 rec, 195 yds, 0 TDs

That's a per game average of 2.6 catches for 39 yards and as many TDs as a dead man.

Including 1 catch for 6 yards in the SB.

He doesn't exactly show up in the big games.

My point here is not to bash his salary / contract numbers.

I am saying Decker has done next to nothing in the playoffs.

And that is with Peyton Manning as his QB in 4 of 5 games.
