No it doesn't. We were never signing him anyway. I really hope we do get him though. Also, I'm very happy we didn't give Pettigrew 4 million a year. But I don't get why we gave that Breno guy just 2 million less than Howard. We couldn't pay a little extra for the upside, younger play, and familiarity?
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 1m Ravens and WR Steve Smith reached agreement. He's a Raven. Expand Collapse
Its good news to hear about Steve Smith, the Ravens might be out of the WR market when draft time comes.
Nope they'll still go BPA. If it were to take them out of the market though, they could go Ebron. Way too early to predict.
And both Landrys and then they can have a realty show to compete with Deckers and Woody can own the rights and get even richer.
DRC, Jones and a decent safety (to go along with Decker) at reasonable prices would be as good and smart as you could ask for.
Relax, bro. It wasn't meant to be argumentative or disrespectful. Besides, we were talking about at this point in time, not during the season. We're not discussing 5 months from now or even 1 month from now, but right now, the time frame you specified in your original post, so why are you now bringing possible injuries that could happen in the future into the conversation? I was just pointing out that part of the reason the roster looked as good as it did last year this time was that the Jets were coming off a season without Revis having played most of the season and Cro and Wilson played very well. It was pretty much a given that Revis would not be coming back, and even though that disappointed a lot of fans (not me), there was reason for hope because the CB position looked solid. I really don't think the roster is that much worse for Cro's being gone than if he were still here and had never been cut. The reason for that is with his age, coming off the chronic hip injury, and his not having solid technique anyway, there were a lot of doubts as to how effective/well he would play this season anyway. Howard and Giacommini are basically a wash at this point. We've upgraded the WR position significantly so that's a marked improvement. Last season at this time, we also thought we might be looking for a new kicker. This year, coming off a great season, Folk is locked up.
This is the worst free agency situation I can remember, especially considering our cap space. This is what happens when you don't wanna spend any money.Big deal we didn't overpay for anyone,we also signed nobody besides Decker
We upgraded the WR position considerably?I can't say that,Decker Kerley and Cumberland isn't scaring anybody ,I know the draft is still to come but we could use guys with more experience to help Geno develop.
I'm glad someone noticed that. All this guy does is say the same thing over and over and it never sounds any more correct.
