This deal will get done tonight or tomorrow. DRC is an upgrade over the injured Cromartie we had last year. Cro was a beast but what we saw last year just wasn't good.

I'm totally ok with giving DRC 5 mil per... GET HIM SIGNED once we cut Sanchez that leaves us with around 33 mil. Jones 4/5 mil... rookies around 8 that leaves us with around 20 million in space to play with.

I think he is going to want in the 7-9mil range.

 

He turned down the Talib offer. That was on the 1st day. Somebody here earlier said he wasn't happy with the guaranteed dollars..I don't know what it was but he did turn it down.

 

The contract will be highly incentive. Idzik is no fool with these contracts, if you don't produce your gone and it doesn't effect our cap too much.

 

Guess it all depends on his options... we shell wait and see.

That rumor of DRC denying a huge contract offer from Denver spread like wild fire. DRC himself denied that offer's existence.

Apparently this is turning out to be true, that Denver offer never existed. We will probably have to spend 7-8 mil per but the 5th best CB last year in a Rex Ryan run system with the Sons of Anarchy and a healthy Barnes blazing off the edges? That's nasty

Jets beat writers on Twitter saying Arizona made him an offer. Also says they moved on from Cromartie.

 

Btw, Safety Chris Clemons is still out there, the Eagles report was not true. Very good cover safety.

 

At this point its either we grab DRC on a 3-5 year contract or we grab an old vet on a cheap 1 year deal. DRC will get done in the next 24 hours.

 

Yeah Cro is almost a lock to not come back.
