There are a handful of people saying this, yet, no one seems to have the answer. What should Idzik have done differently?

If you are going in that direction then... Geno is a year older, Dee is a year older. Coples is healthy, Ivory is healthy, Winters is a year older. I understand the concerns but no reason to only look at the negatives.

I honestly think this year has a ton more positives over negatives... and that is a plus if you ask me

So you're going into camp with 11+ receivers?

This team said they don't want Geno to throw more than 20x/game. Why tie up this much money on a resource you won't be utilizing the most?

it never affected his play and preparation which is why it wasn't a big deal to his teammates.

you are making things up b/c you dislike him.

Seriously, dude is a Brady/Pats fanboy. He's made that PAINFULLY obvious over the years.

Sometimes I wish someone would pull him aside when he's talking that yak and whisper to him "Pst..Your fanboy is showing".

Agreed. Heading into the draft we are no worse than we were last year. Who knows, we may trade a couple picks to move up in the draft and select some impact players who can contribute this year. Maybe even another FA or two. Be a win better this year (9 is doable) and still have cap room for next off season to make more impacts and continue drafting well. CB Dick Sherman was a 5th round pick. Gotta believe in Idzik ...

Ivory was healthy for pretty much the whole year, the improvement at RB would be getting Goodson back potentially. Winters was completely hopeless all year, I would be shocked if that changes significantly. Colon was terrible and so far we don't even have somebody as bad as him. Dee did put together 4-5 strong games and Walls came in and overachieved for him another 2-3. I expect he'll still have 2-3 awful games which is better than the 6-7 he accounted for but it might not be as big of an overall improvement as you expect even if he continues to develop nicely. Geno will be a crapshoot, I guess if he makes crazy improvement it could lead to legit wildcard contention but that's about the only upside I really see. I expect the defense will be marginally better after the draft and the offense somewhat better and that will basically cancel out the lucky wins and improved rivals. With a more sensible FA period and strong draft the team could've looked like a real playoff threat.

Correct. There are 9 WR on the roster.

    LaFell/Jones/Sanders = 1
    WR in draft = 1
Another WR in draft = 1

    This equates to 11+ WR

He coulda pulled the trigger on a difference maker. Like Byrd, Or Revis. Or at least ONE of the top 5 corners. I mean he did cut Cro, what r we gonna draft a corner 1st round?? Aboushi (sp) guard from KC is really good.. Its like were just watching ! We have the cheapest roster in the league as of now.. And so much money to spend.. Ok dont splurge it all but we have enough to T A K E C H A N C E S

When it comes to the NFL, Colin Cowshit is one of the most ignorant analysts out in the media today. He waxes eloquent about everything from finances to real estate to ethics, football and the like. He has been polishing his statue of BB for ever to no avail. When he guarantees something you can take it to the bank, that he is guaranteed to be wrong.

If we draft 2 wide outs I'm sure 1 will start off as a practice squad guy...

how bad do you think trying to re sign howard and replacing him affected us trying to get other players?

Believe it or not there are plenty of corners and safeties still available. Two pretty good safeties are Chris Clemons and Thomas DeCoud. Top corners are DRC, Tarell Brown, and several vets. Just got to relax

It's not bad, it's not realistic.
If they obtain another FA WR, It's doubtful they address WR within the first rounds of the draft.
They may get a TE but I think at that point, if they don't have a Safety or CB, they will go that route.
