We must have no interest. Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN 34m WR Emmanuel Sanders making 3rd visit: Chiefs today. Originally set to visit Jets, but #NYJ had scheduling conflict. Nothing rescheduled yet Rich Cimini @RichCimini 2m The Jets have $34.189M in cap room, according to NFLPA figures. #Jets And they still have Sanchez
Scheduling conflict, interesting. Are the jets staff at a college visit somewhere or we have someone else visiting today?
I actually look at us as a 6 win team last year. Two late wins courtesy of penalty calls. We did not out talent a lot of teams. And Geno stepped up very late and very unexpectedly in the Atlanta game. If we were 8 and 8 this year but they were wire to wire kind of wins, I would think of us as improved. If we do better I will be ecstatic.
This is amazing all this money we still have and Sanchez will clear up like 10 million plus when he's cut and Erick Decker and some Depth Lineman is all we have to show for it
So basically we have like $42mil. How much will it cost to sign all our rookies? That will give us a better idea what we're working with. Wait: doesn't cutting Sanchez free up $8mil or $10mil? I read $8mil somewhere.
I gueas Idzik thinks he's drafting starters in all 7 rounds, the problem with this team is they don't wanna pay anyone decent money,I'm sure Wilkerson will be traded when his payday comes .Will trade him to BRowns and he be cut the following year and join Revis on Pats
Do they not want to pay anyone decent money, or do they not want to overpay? Big difference. Vontae Davis got overpaid badly. You would have rather Idzik overpaid? I guess you were a big Tannenbaum fan...
Yea the rookies don't take up barley any cap space only the first rounder who.gets the biggest contract.
I didn't see any big overpaying happen, you guys don't seem to understand that these are the numbers better players recive these days ,you don't pay you won't get em .Bryd is the only one who got overpaid and did he really tho?that's just the price tag for a player of his calibar
It looks like players are using us as leverage to re-sign with their original teams, or to go elsewhere. Not good I thought we had Pettigrew
Who are we interested in/should we have been interested in that another team got at a good price? I can think of one... Vontae Davis, and he got overpaid badly. Yes, he did. No WRs we were interested in signed elsewhere, Pettigrew signed for $4 mil a year back in Detroit, and that's it. Idzik has played this VERY well. When you're building a team from the ground up you don't just toss money at guys because you want them on your team. That's how you end up with the mess Idzik had to clean up when he got here.
These people aren't getting overpaid unless you believe they will get what the max dollars are..they won't...they never do, this is NFL reality and not MLB. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nfl/write...t-contracts-means-that-most-teams-have-an-out
All I know is the better part of free agency is over and now there's just 3rd and 4th tier players left.People are gonna be so pissed when we draft CB or saftey in first round again this year because of our approach to FA
Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN 58s Jets have had several discussions with WR Brandon LaFell's camp. However, #NYJ didn't have him on schedule to come in as of last night
Kimberly A. Martin #Jets have quite a few needs, but I'm told they're "definitely in the safety market" still. ...So far, they've lost out on some big names. Interesting.
