Lee's injuries scare me. Idk why we'd take him over Cooks or Evans should either be available.

I think people need to realize that Idzik will be drafting BPA (except for a d-lineman, he knows the Jets fan base would be furious). Don't just expect the pick to be a skill position, as much as we need one.

Because he's a better player? (Talking about Cooks, not Evans)

    Not when he's injured.

Stephen Hill was a project, Eric Ebron is proven at the collegiate level. Both have great measurable but Ebron actually produced on the field, that is a poor comparison. we took a gamble on Hill based on his size, speed, etc... and he still may get it but Ebron is much closer to a finished product.

that is always the way to go, how upset were most of us last year not going offense? we obviously needed O but he didn't want to reach and got us a star in Richardson and hopefully a solid starter in Dee.

I remember many people saying those picks proved Rex was still in charge when it reality they were the best players at those spots. Its when I started realizing maybe Idzik knew what he was doing.

Milliner could be a star too. He showed flashes and CB is a tough transition especially when he missed time early on. He might turn into a smarter/better version of Cromartie, I think he has similar athleticism.

Depends on the talent level of the FA WR.

I believe the Jets want to position themselves to go BPA in the first round. So if BPA is a TE or WR prospect, they will go with that. But since the Jets have a ton of holes at OL, S, LB, CB, they may take one of those prospects too.

We took a gamble on Hill because he was in a collegiate system that required him to block. His size was a bonus, Hill was not drafted to carry the load of 60+ receptions a year.

That does not excuse him from dropping passes in his chest though.

Pettigrew has been on the "will sign shortly" status for a while now. Are the Jets gonna take him out to dinner also?

I expect he will make the squad unless he gets hurt or something. He showed flashes last year, I thought. I did follow him a bit more than otherwise because of the dearth of overall receiving talent elsewhere, but mostly because I would have loved to see a Pats castoff catch on here, so there was that. It's hard to blame his overall lack of numbers since he came mid season, when Smith was playing awful. But I like his size, he's only 24.

None of that means he's necessarily going to be the #2 TE on the depth chart, or otherwise see much of the field. But he could be valuable. Likely he will make the squad but be #3 on the depth chart.

I like that we are methodically filling holes so we can go BPA. Even if we get Pettigrew and Jones I think we would still take Ebron, Evans or Lee. I could see us going OL, S, CB, WR, TE, OLB...
Still would have liked to have gotten Ward or Byrd but oh well.

Pray the Ravens sign Steve Smith. That could take him out of the WR race. Lions already signed Tate to be their #2. Imagine Decker with Mike Evans? It would be another version of Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery.

Lee is intriguing to pair up with Decker, I have been warming up to Lee as of late.

I don't think the Ravens are so short sighted to remove themselves from drafting a young WR because they signed a 30+ year old receiver.

It will help, but I wouldn't be surprised if they still drafted one.

I like Evans and Decker with a deep threat in Jones, Kerley in the slot.
