Jets will and should go BPA in the first round. If a TE is there and he's on the top of their board they will take him. It's about stockpiling talent.

What's with all the Pettigrew hate, I didn't think he was that bad. He drops a pass here and there but from a fantasy perspective he was average for a pass catching TE. Ill have to research his stats a little more but it's not like some bum Noone else is showing any interest in.
Yeah, he looked really good with Cam throwing to him. Maybe he "un-busted" He can return kicks and we can use him on the outside and have him burn Revis lol. Jets need a good blocker, this guy would be it. Signing does make sense.

Porter's been pretty bad in his career hasn't he? Wasn't last year his first really good year? If so, I don't understand the love. I also am not sure he would be as cheap as you seem to think. With the great season, he may be looking to cash in like a lot of FAs do after they've had a great season. He doesn't sound like a type that Idzik would consider, imo.

Yes pettigrew helps in short ydg. One of best blockers in league and his drops are way exaggerated. We would still be looking te in draft to compete with/replace Cumberland as a chunk yardage threat

Anyone else feel like the the team expects Sudfeld to step up? I remember hearing the coaches like him, and by picking up a veteran blocking TE, this gives space for Sudfeld to get some breakout time on some downs.
Ebron can't catch at all? ROFLMAO Dude, you have no idea what you're talking about. Did Ebron drop a fairly high number of easy passes? Yes. That's concentration and is pretty easy to fix. He has great hands and made a LOT of amazing catches. Pettigrew is a very good blocker. He dropped a lot of passes this past season, but has had seasons with 71, 83 and 59 catches and still had 41 last year. He would be a HUGE upgrade for us at TE.
Hope we don't overlook Evans with all the teams picking up WRs in FA. There's a chance he could drop a few spots to us now.
