The Pats got to the AFC championship game last year. They did not get their asses kicked in Denver because Darrelle Revis was not there. They would have lost that game with him on their side. I agree with you when you say that CBs are not the reason teams win SBs. A lot of Jet fans just have a disturbing feeling about Mevis.

Seems like we're trying to sign James Jones now, that would be a good pickup for us, should be a good day 3.

Who's up next, Jones-Drew? He would be a good addition in a backfield by committee. He can't handle the load by himself anymore but he can still contribute and should come cheap on a 2 year deal.

Absolutely and he'd bring some leadership as well.

Very happy with the signings. Unhappy about mevis. Not that I wanted him but for the hated patsy to get him really stings..

How about Nicks? Even in a down year he had 900 yards and when he is healthy he is a beast. He can be a true #1 (unlike James Jones, who many have mentioned here) across from Decker and instantly turns our weakest position last year into a strength and we probably wouldn't need to break the bank to get him. Gives us flexibility heading into the draft to take BPA instead of focusing on WR and finally Geno can have some weapons

I don't like Nicks, he's not worth the headache and he's an underachiever.

And with Goodson's future up in the air I would love to bring in MJD (or even Sproles if if can be had on the cheap). A great pass catching RB could be Geno's best friend in this offense.

For all of you ready to jump ship after 36 hours of free agency, have patience. Idzik isn't making any knee jerk moves and isn't overpaying for anyone, but instead is sticking to his guns and bringing in great value guys, preserving our flexibility to be competitive years down the line. High priced blue-chip FAs never seem to work out as planned and a bad contract can be detrimental to the future roster building of this team. Have patience people, I know Revis to the Pats stings but let's not overreact. See how things play out and have faith in our Ninja GM

Not many teams interested in Nicks which is a real red flag.

Multiple reports, including Cimini and Costello.

    Idzik had 0 interest.

Definitely happy with the Decker signing. I know he's not a true #1 guy but I'm okay with that, he's an upgrade over what we had that's for sure. If we can sign another WR, a CB, a backup QB and maybe some OL help and just general depth that would be great. I think we still need to draft a TE, WR, OLB and FS though.

If im Idzik I would not exclude myself from the WR market right now. Nicks, Sanders, Jones may come at a lower cost and we might actually end up using our round 1 pick on a TE or LB so the WR position is not set and we need to continue to explore all options.

Has anyone seen the numbers on Breno? Curious to see what he got.

From everything I've seen they are still going after Jones. If you can get Decker and Jones for about 10 mil combined that's a nice haul.

Very happy with the Decker deal. We didn't overpay at all which was my one true worry. I like Decker a lot, I just didn't want to blow our wad on him. Now we need to snag James Jones TODAY. Crazy to think we could go from Kerley, Hill and Nelson to Decker, Jones and Kerley in 24 hours.

I think Sanders would be a nice compliment to Decker. I think we will bring in one more receiver before the draft, but im still hoping for a big time WR on day one of the draft!

I just don't see why there is so much love for Jones, maybe you can explain what you see in him? he's never been more than a #3 guy his whole career and has had the likes of Jordy Nelson, Randell Cobb, Greg Jennings, and Jermichael Finley taking the pressure off of him. Not to mention he had Aaron Rogers throwing him the ball. Im not saying he cant or wont be productive, but he wont have near that kind of help here.

I would love to see them bring DRC for a visit...last real CB available, besides Cro and Munnerlyn...im not apposed to bringing Cro back, but we have a slot corner in Wilson who played well last year so I don't really see Munnerlyn being a good fit unless he can play outside as well.
