Really? Saw they wanted to extend him another year during the combine and he's still on the roster so I'll keep him on the list.
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/2054/calvin-pace https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/01/01/2014-free-agents-new-york-jets/ I don't think there's been any indication he's been signed yet. It seems like they will end up bringing him back, but it hasn't happened yet.
Pace probably wants to see if any team would be interested in signing him to a multi-year deal after his 10 sack season. He knows if we resign him it's for a 1 year deal at the vet minimum. I wouldn't mind having Barnes back either. He looked good in his limited time here last season.
I would still love if we got another WR: James Jones? Decker Jones Kerley Hill Nelson We're definitely drafting at least 1 in May which could knock Hill/Nelson out.
Top WR and RT taken care of today by Idzik. Still need a CB, S, and probably an OLB. On offense, two guards, a WR/TE, and maybe a RB if we ditch Goodson.
I think that Cro, Colon, and Pace will be brought back if there are no better options. Going to be really exciting filling holes in FA and adding depth in the draft.
Idzik should be more concerned about the O-Line than anything else right now. A Winters and Campbell / Schlauderaff starting Guard duo is pitiful / embarrassing.
I put CB at 2, and safety I think we're at least not bad. I have high hope with AA, but don't care for Landry much.
We need to go after Travelle Wharton, the only remaining PFF + rated free agent OG on the market. 3. Travelle Wharton 2013 Grade:+20.5 2013 Snaps: 851 Summary: Travelle Whartonhas been a starter ever since he came into the league in 2004. At 32 years old last offseason and fresh of an ACL surgery, it was unclear if he could fulfill that role. He quickly put any doubts to rest and not only did Wharton win the starting job in Carolina, but he was also PFF’s third-ranked left guard for the season and had his best season in our six years of grading. Wharton had a balanced year performance-wise with the 13th-ranked Pass Blocking Efficiency rating (97.2) and seventh-ranked run blocking grade (+11.1). Wharton will turn 33 in May. Recently we’ve seen guards like Brian Waters and Steve Hutchinson play well in their 33/34-year-old seasons. Neither was exceptional beyond that, though. One has to expect Wharton will see a healthy bump to his $1.1m salary from last season, even if he only gets a one- or two-year deal.
You know what they say about opinions.. lol but seriously I thought so too until we brought back Colon. Winters cant possibly be worse than he was last year and Colon is just a stop gap. No doubt we need an upgrade but there simply are no better guards in FA right now. Odds are we won't take a guard in the first three rounds meaning Winters and Colon will probably still be our starters which is why I got them listed as minor as of right now.
