no, he became a FA this year, off his rookie deal.

the fact that Idzik hasn't made the effort to retain this obvious STUD befuddles me.

He was so bad last year though. Much worse then Cro was for us.

Did you watch any Panther games??? I'm assuming you didn't. Yeah, he had a pick 6 against Geno Smith. Whoopty fucking doo. Who the hell didn't.......... Lets sign him, he s a beast!!!!

I saw plenty of Panther games and he is a weak cb who thrived on the a great Panthers pass rush.

Dennard was graded out as one of the best #2 corners in the NFL. The biggest worry would have been if he had to cover #1's. He doesn't have the size or speed to do that. He's perfect for his role he has now, and with the Revis signing he can continue to play that role.

And, it may be more than a one year deal in time:

    Albert Breer ‏@AlbertBreer 38m
Additionally, I'm told the Patriots ultimately, after a feeling-out period, have designs on locking up Revis long-term.

It is not official yet but it seems like we're getting Decker!! Word is we're looking to add one more most notably Jones. Other receivers could be Nicks, Edleman, Sanders, Cotchery, and Smith any one of them would be an awesome pairing along with a rookie or two.

You must be an expert since you watched so many games I hope you let Idzik know tonight so he cancel his visit.

"Every single NFL team was at Michigan State's Pro Day yesterday... except for the Jets." - Tony Pauline (Darqueze Dennard)

This might mean something....would they consider Dennard with their 1st round pick? Or do they like Isaiah Lewis as a safety prospect? I get the vibe here that they purposely did not attend this one.

Nice to see you kiss Bellichick's rings. Dennard hopefully will have another DUI and will miss the season due to incarceration. I'm not worried about him because every year is different and I don't believe he is that good.

Perfectly fine if you feel that way, just pointing out that he was better than mentioned here. I'm not sold entirely on him or Logan Ryan either, I just like what they've shown (on the field only in Dennard's case) so far.

We cannot afford to draft a CB in the first round.

As a MSU fan, I would take any player from that defense. It was badass.

I got to watch him through his college and pro careers here in Carolina. Lots of speed, great ball hawk, but a couple times a game he would just lose focus and get burned badly. But he has the physical skills to be a very good corner most of the time, if you can get past the lapses in concentration.
