He was a "#3" WR with 137 targets.

Revis had no intention of signing with the Jets
If he did, he would have played the game a little longer

    Idzik has a plan
Abandoning the plan and signing the big name is very Tannenbaumesque.

It would be great if we get both Decker and one of Jones, Nicks, Sanders tomorrow.

Focus the draft on offense so we get to the point where we feel comfortable spreading the football around, and we will be ok.

Just hope Geno will be ready to step up next year.

This is what I'm hoping for. Have money to spend in following years and pick at free agency when we are only a few players away.

Signing big contracts this year would be pointless. We don't have the team to go deep into the playoffs quite yet

I'm hearing from sources that the Jets are going to sign Vick.

After all this public hype they'd better sign Decker.

The 2014 draft will be much more indicative of Idzik's plan. He said along he prefers to build through the draft......

Who knows what happens after the draft though - could get up to 12 new players things can swing in our favor rather quickly. If we shit bed this season, I don't want to do it while signing big contracts.

Schadenfreude. Really dumb on their part to give up Veldheer and overpay Howard.

    Splooge...

In all seriousness for a 4th rounder I would be all over this. He's basically another receiver. If not him would love DeAnthony Thomas with the pick. Nothing more than a 4th though. Any idea on how high compensatory picks can be?

Well that's what I mean. Granted, we could definitely over achieve. Point being, if we don't, then we signed huge contacts for no logical reason.

As high as a 3 but thats for a big time signed FA.

We are hoping LaRon Landry gives us a 4 this year.

I think Sproles will cost a little less than what Ivory did considering the Saints were on the verge of cutting him. Maybe a 5th round pick.

My last post re Revis in NE. Here is the post from Pats forum:

"Now we need to fill DT, DE, 3-tech, and SS either through the rest of FA or the draft and this defense is an elite, finely tuned machine."

    That says it all!
Now they need to fill load of key D positions (and a load of O as well) with 5M.
