^ Yah you're about a month or two late talking about the Nets. They were revived once 2014 started. Still shouldn't change the East for IND and MIA. No excuses for them to miss the ECF except a major injury
There's a difference between being favored and being a lock. For both the Heat and Pacers, it is a disappointment if they miss the ECF. For them, the ECF should be a lock, anything less is a failed season
Okay so then you stopped talking about the Nets for a few months? I mean you said it's time to take them serious. It's around a month late on that right now. Should have been taking them seriously earlier and considering they were your pick you should have been ready probably a month and half ago.
And yeah it seems you have trouble signifying the difference between a loss and favorites and disappointment.
Also you were quite quick to give up on the Nets even though they were your pick. You wanted to fire J Kidd in November I believe So even though in this post you say you weren't a fan, you had the Nets being your ECF pick? That's tremendous trust in the players
My bad I took your two posts together. You said if you haven't been taking the Nets seriously you should. Then Nets guys, watch out. Granted, it really sounds like you just started taking them seriously. Also considering you've been on a Wizards kick and haven't mentioned the Nets in 2014 in this thread I think, I would think you haven't been taking them seriously. Maybe you have and just ignored them in our constant talk about the EC? I mean you've reportedly said IND/MIA isn't a lock (even though I don't think anyone said lock, just heavily favored) and then brought up the Wizards and not the Nets. So from my understanding, you haven't been taking them seriously? I mean the best you gave the Nets was a long series against IND and MIA and the Wizards the upset nod. You brought up Lopez, who interestingly enough the Nets have made the run without.
Ah yes I'm trolling by constantly talking about basketball. You don't troll by posting pictures of birds and telling us you were half joking/trolling with the Wizards over Pacers statement. Yeah I totally see where you're coming from. I mean the Nets have had one of the best records in 2014 for a while now. You repeatedly are telling me that IND/MIA isn't a lock. You haven't focused on the Nets as being the team to break that lock. So in my head, you haven't been taking them seriously. Maybe you just never felt like talking about them in a basketball thread when were discussing teams who could knock off IND and that's just really strange.
I have been taking them seriously, I was just unsure where they stood after the Lopez injury. I was riding them all preseason, I picked them sto square off against the Spurs in the finals, but I have had my doubts after the slow start and the Lopez injury. Ive come to realize through all my years watching basketball, less is sometimes more, so while losing Lopez sucked, it might have not been such a bad thing. Plumlee has shown some really good defensive ability imo. So do I think the Nets will reach the finals right now? I dont think so but I do think they can knock out the Heat or the Pacers. Im really not trying to jinx this team, ive actually watched the Nets more than any other team this year, although I will admit, I have failed to mention them much in this discussion but that does not change what I said last July during free agency.
Granted all this Nets talk, we also have to keep an eye on the WC tonight. POR at SA. LAC at GS. Grizz down late in the 4th by 2 to the Pelicans. A win MEM should take. Cavs at Suns, a win both CLE and PHX need, but PHX more so. Mavs at Jazz, a win the Mavs need. PHX is one game back of MEM/DAL. GS is 1.5 games back of POR.
Did I not say they would reach the finals? wouldnt that involve them knocking off the Heat or Pacers? put 2 and 2 together man......
No it doesn't change that, but it looks like you just caught onto the Nets after beating MIA tonight after you've gone on and on about IND/MIA is not a lock and not really brining up BK as a team to do that even though they've been on a good streak in 2014. It seems like you kinda forgot about them in the Wizards hype
I don't see you picking them to the finals in this thread? I trust you said it, I don't feel like searching for it outside of here
