He hasn't overspent on above average players. Who wins the free agent wars every year? Answer: some team that is going to fire their GM or HC or both within a year or two.

Without Idzik, we would not be 40 mil under the cap. Just wait and see how things work out before you judge. We all got a thrill ride with Tanny, and the big splash moves and throwing money around; but for most of us, we finally got tired of Ginger and are learning to fall in love with Mary Anne. Stop chasing Ginger, you'll just end up broke and alone again.

Ok so Decker vs Revis at least twice next year?

You pro-Decker folks: who wins that matchup?

Good call, let's go get the receiver who wins one-on-one with Revis. Oh, right....

So does this mean the Jets will soon win 3 SBs? I mean we acquired Curtis and look what happened.

If there is a God out there ...

    Ouch....just ouch

Honestly, ever since the way it all went down last year it has been hard for me to take this franchise seriously.

I used to be on this message board all the time, but since the Revis debacle I hardly visit. I still watched the games, but the passion is really drained from me. Looking at the activity on this message board and comparing it to free agency time in previous years, apparently I'm not the only one.

And now this...can it get any lower. How often in sports does the best player in a team's franchise history move to their rival while still in his prime?

Unfortunately, not all franchises are created equal and we were given this clown show of an owner and recently won the honor of this over-calculating, wise guy, immobile GM. Any franchise with an ounce of dignity and respect for its fan base would not have allowed what just happened to go down.

While I'll never root for another team, the jets are losing me...I'll still watch, but the passion is dead....and while that doesn't mean much since none of you know me personally, I can say that for those that do such a notion would have been unthinkable after the previous 15 years of being a die hard.

As quickly as that happened and it only being a one year deal it almost sounds like REvis and the Pats were talking before the Bucs cut him....I don't think that'd be legal and it's very much unlike Revis not to test the waters more as a free agent.

I think his sole purpose here was to burn the Jets and that should be reason enough to just laugh at him. You are right, there were a lot of teams wanting to talk to him and how does he know he wouldn't get more years from somebody else at 12M?

I wasn't saying he should take a pay cut or that hes a douche for not taking a pay cut. Heck, I wouldn't either. Revis saga is just amusing. Guy loves his money, that is the 1 thing he hasn't denied.

He seems to like these 1 year deals now, I hope he realizes that at his age it makes him 1 injury from retirement.
