Decker and Jones are solid as can be. Both played with soon to be (future) HoF QBs. They can teach Geno a thing or two on how those guys prepared.

 

If Decker is average, then every wide receiver free agent available is average.

Exactly... which is why we shouldn't overpay... this years class is avg at best !

 

During the season, this is the type of move(s) I thought would happen in the Offseason.

One of the reasons we have so much cap room, now, is that we aren't paying any big money to the WR position because we don't have any talent to pay.

So, it makes sense to sign two guys for reasonable (maybe slightly overpaid) contracts.

 

We can spend 20M and carry over 20-30 million then. we dont need to spend it all. its not like its a use it or lose it situation. you dont unwisely throw around money just because you have it. thats what fools do.

What decker did in denver was with peyton manning. he wont have peyton manning here. what decker did in denver was on the same field as 3 other legit WR's to spread defenses focus around. he wont have that here. he is a good player, but nothing special and not a #1

no he didnt. our top ranked defense, top ranked running game, and oustanding special teams did that. sanchez was busy being a bottom 5 QB and throwing picks left and right. its no suprise that as soon as we didnt have an elite run game and asked sanchez to throw more we started to suck big time

We don't have 2 go crazy and spend the bank on him but if we can get him for a solid price, why the hell not?

He's a big target who can make plays and proved so by doing it with Tim Tebow... Anybody who can catch 8 TD's from Tebow is alright by me.
