I think you are spot on with James Jones. Would love to bring him in.

Ever see Tebow play QB? That's like 2,000 yards with a regular NFL QB.

Agreed, but that doesn't say a whole lot. The Jets receivers in 2011 did very little stat wise. So Decker having better numbers then them doesn't prove all that much. Kerley's 2012 was better then any Jet receivers 2011 season.

I don't hate Decker, i'm assuming a couple things (maybe prematurely)

    1. Tate would come at a much more team friendly deal
    2. Tate has improved almost every year as a player, he's on the rise. That's not to say that Decker isn't, but Decker catching balls from Manning as oppose to Tate catching balls in a run heavy offense is very different.

Not thilled with Decker but I'll withhold judgment until I see what other moves we make. The key is to upgrade at WR and Decker def is an upgrade but I hope people aren't expecting the type of season he had last year. If he had 800 yards and 6-7 TD's I'd be happy.

I wouldn't hate Decker. I just worry about guys who catch balls from Peyton Manning.

Exactly Tebow is one of the most inaccurate throwers I've ever seen. He was well on his way to 1000 yards though with Kyle Orton.

Anything under 8M is a great signing for Decker

Hatchette was a minimum salary guy, no risk at all. we traded for McCareins who was actually pretty damn good for us in 2004 then it fell apart as Chad kept getting hurt.

I was comparing Decker 2011 to Jets 2013. In 2012 Kerley had higher receptions and yards, but Decker had more TDs than Kerley has had in his career.

They way I see it, Dekcer upgrades our WR talent. I don't expect the numbers he put up from PM but I do think for us he is better than Tate. If Tate signs in DET he will have a field day with Calvin out there, but so would Decker imo.

IT was a run heavy offense, but it also was an offense that threw down the field a lot and had effective time drawing safeties for the run and going over the top. They threw it deep very often and Wilson extending plays and getting big gains on broken plays. I think both those inflated Tate's stats. I think both Decker and Tate are good and wouldn't mind both. I'd be happy with either one

Like a few posters said I think Tate would come at a more friendly deal and in my eyes has more upside then Decker

there is no way Decker will get 10M, at least not from us.
    I'm guessing closer to 7M.

    EDIT DISREGARD. NOT OFFICIAL

I copied and pasted a former agent speculation on Tate's value, not an actual contract I think
