TB also traded a first and 4th round pick for a guy they're probably cutting ayear later. so there's that.

I guess he's an option just haven't seen us linked to him. Saw earlier that Schaub will not be coming to NY

If you had to slightly overpay for one of these two guys (for the Jets, not a team in general), then who would you overpay -- Decker or Golden Tate?

Yes they would...? Have you been under a rock for the last year. Unless Cro' had a pro-bowl caliber year last year he was being released. Way too high of a cap number. Now, you could ask the same question as to why we haven't heard about a resign....but he definitely had to be cut...doesn't matter who was/is available period.

Decker cause he is a lil better IMO ... Although Tate would be a lil cheaper

for me Revis would also be at the top of list (so long as its not 16mil per).
    Sproles would be next.
    Streif
    Pettigrew
    James Jones
    Clemons

I would overpay for Tate...he has the better YAC upside.

Still not sure why that makes them so aggressive in replacing Glennon.

I thought he showed a lot of potential.

So what, just pay the roster bonus then and keep them if you're not planning on replacing them. I know they didn't want Holmes back under any circumstances, but Cro was a key part of the defense, unless they were planning on replacing him.......so, no Verner or Talib, but....Revis? How could they let Cro get away and then do nothing to replace him? There's gotta be someone....Munnerlyn perhaps? Revis? .....

I would love either one but probably Decker in large part due to the maturity factor. Last thing we need is another Santonio and I'm not saying that's what Tate is but he has shown phases of immaturity most notably the waving celebration starting at the 30 yard line last year. In addition to that, last year was Tates first year he really excelled.

Unless you know about a signing I haven't heard about yet...Cro' STILL hasn't gotten away. I think the Jets are playing this one smart. Let the first couple of days roll on by and get Cro' back in the fold, potentially, at less than $3mill/per and THAT would be a steal.

Im saying the reason why we didn't even try to restructure cromartie was because we supposedly had a corner locked up (Vontae Davis) ... Then we lost out on him ... I'm not denying that his cap number was way too high to go with his performance last year

I'd go Tate. I like his big play potential and his impact on returning punts.

I think Tate has definitely shown something in the NFL.

Agree here. Decker seems like a mature pro, Tate seems like kind of a punk.

Decker averaged 37 yards and 0 TDs in the playoffs. I finally realized why you guys are so excited for this guy, what was I thinking this entire time?

And what people are trying to make clear to you is we never had or thought we had a corner locked up. The plan the whole time was to cut cro and let him test the market.
This is not the first time we have done this with Cro

I agree. McCown is a backup.

I see Golden Tate is at the Lions facility now. I wanted him.

I really want sproles if he comes somewhat cheap ... He would really help geno out IMO ... And I think he compliments Ivory a lot better than Powell

Tate has shown a lot in the NFL. He's the better signing, and would come most likely, at a cheaper price.

He doesn't have the yards Decker does cause he plays in a different run heavy offense with a young, developing QB.
