I know revis has said he wants to be here and play for rex (even though some said it could be a ploy to get more money) but I'm not sure the interest is mutual ... I've heard all this teams with some sort of interest but have not heard one thing about us ... Just my thought

I wonder if Revis, too, views himself as a mercenary.

Why are there reports McCown will cancel his visit to Florham Park?

I would rather play the "game". Tanny ruined the expectations of a generation of Jets fans and brought a new group of "fans" to the team by the way he handled FA and the draft (over-aggressiveness, recklessness, going for "boom or bust" products, swinging for the fences, etc.). The team needs a GM like Idzik to get back to respectability and stay there. I'm not saying that I think Idzik is perfect or is the answer at GM, but I like most of the moves he's made so far and the way he approaches everything thoughtfully, carefully, thoroughly, and not impetuously or recklessly. I LOVE the fact that he prefers to stay in the background and doesn't seek the limelight like Tanny. If he's not the right guy for the job, at least Idzik does most things right and approaches things in the right way. He's thinking about the long term success of the team and stability, not "win now" at all costs.

Maybe the way Idzik handles things will either eventually teach those new Jets fans how things ought to be done, or will drive them away and they'll find another team to whine about or cheer for. Either way, it's a win-win imo.

I have every confidence that the team will head into training camp solidified at a lot of positions, with better overall team talent and depth, and with some exciting new players.

Yeah I know, but I was thinking....why would we release Cro (and Holmes), free up all this cap space (we had a lot of $ even before releasing those guys) just to sit on the sidelines and sign cheap backup types? Makes no sense, unless we are about to dump a pile of cash on a couple guys, like Decker and Revis perhaps? .....Just a thought...

What is taking so long with Decker? Is Idzik playing hardball again?

Steve Smith soon to be officially released. Wouldn't mind him on a cheap deal especially to mentor the rookie or rookie receivers we bring in along with Decker or other FA

I think McCluster signed with the Titans, but yes, there is still a lot of talent out there that can help the team

    Ahhhh got it.

Interesting that TB who inarguably got better QB production out of Glennon than we got out of Geno and they're making this aggressive of a move.

Because both Holmes and Cro were due roster bonuses this week. Sanchez get ones 3/25 so he'll be gone by then too.

Gleonnon had Doug Martin for part of the year Mike Williams and Vincent Jackson. Guess it's down to Mike Vick and well Mike Vick

Yea I guess I could see that ... But they got rid of cro thinking they had Vontae davis locked up ... Plus what if revis gets traded ... I don't think we would release cro knowing that it's 100% certain bucs would not trade him ... I guess we will see

Don't forget or go to sleep on Shaun Hill...he would be a viable Vet backup.
