I hope this is true. Verner is my number one, this free agency, and will instantly boost our secondary.

that's the biggest no brainer in history, you get revis but that's not going to be an option.

I am going to predict davis though I think I prefer Verner.

Yeah, I believe there are guys like that. I have a harder time believing a guy making money off a team will have anything bad to say in public but stranger things have happened. Why would somebody just make that up? There's no money to be made on a story like that.

Verner is 25, while Revis is going on 29. I'd take Verner just because he has been getting better each year he's been in the league. Revis did not play well last year, but the Bucs also did not use him like they should of. But Revis did get burned on alot of man coverage plays. Revis should be a 100% this year, and has alot to prove, and as much as I like him, I'd still give the edge to Verner. This team needs some fresh blood.

totally onboard with Sproles. we have nothing like that, and he would be a solid contributing weapon. immediate upgrade to offense and ST.
Gerhardt could be interesting as a FB/HB, and a big upgrade over Bohanan. i think he wants to play tailback though, and may be looking for more dollars than he's worth.

You're right. It is the biggest no brainer in history. You go with the guy who is just entering his prime that has boatloads of talent that will be IN his prime when this team is ready to compete. The guy who hasn't torn an ACL. The guy who doesn't have a history of holding teams hostage over money. Verner.

Much rather would sign Revis if possible.

Verner has only had 1 good year, nobody knew who the hell he was 2 years ago. Revis has proven himself as the best at his position and is already familiar with Rex and the D.

Verner has a huge bust chance. I wouldn't sink $40 million intohim.

Verner is a good player, Revis is an all time great player. there's not a personnel man alive(or dead) that would take verner over revis if they came at the same price.

Whether it's Verner or Davis I would be happy... Davis is a proven man to man top cover guy so he might actually be a better fit.

Wouldn't be shocked if they go for a guy like Munnerlyn, there is a drop off but he is another killed pure cover guy.

If Browns replace Jackson and Ward with Dansby and Whitner, they would pull of a rare free agency feat…they’d get older.

These fools.. Sorry I will keep it on Jets Free Agency talk.. Funny though.

so you take a guy on potential rather than a guy with tape, just because he's a couple years younger?
that is a philosophy that does not work.

I don't think Verner is or ever will be the player that Revis is, but i do like him for the Jets. I just hope he is closer to 8M than 10M.
If he is around 8M, while Revis is around 12M or more, than it is a no brainer for Verner. If same money, its a no brainer for Revis.
