Dude we are faaar away from Week 4 lol. We have no chance at Revis btw no point in even dreaming. Our owner is done with him. Miles Austin is a good depth signing
i know i do and dont wanna trade up for him because it rarely works out the trade up but i have a real good feeling wakins is something real special
I don't see how you would bring a guy in turning 30 in 20 days and say he can be productive for the next five years when A. he has never proven to be anything more than a #3 B. He had the like of Aaron Rogers, Nelson, Cobb, and Finley to take the pressure off.
He had 14 TD in 2012 when he was given a bigger role... He could still ball out and would help us out tremendously... He would also come cheaper than Steve.
Definitely not going to be good past 2 more years..but tell me one guy better than Jones that is on our roster now lol He would be a good veteran signing
Kristian Dyer @KristianRDyer 41s One league source familiar with free agency so far: "Look for a very balanced approached from Idzik. Will add quality and depth." #nyjets
@MikeCairns5: Hearing Whitner has agreed to sign with #Browns number per a little lower then last night . Working on number of guaranteed years @WEWS ... There goes Whiter ... No Byrd for Browns.
+ They have almost $50M in cap room and if they need more they can cut at least one QB plus they have a few more cuts they can make to get a little room here and there.
I do not think there's much of a chance of us signing a top corner AND the top safety. Just too many other holes to throw it all into the secondary. We can re-up on Howard and sign a receiver for the price it would cost for Byrd alone
WE can sign a top corner and a top safety, and still have 20m+ to do other things... Remember Sanchez will be cut in a few weeks which is going to free up even more space.
If we get MJD/CJ2K, Nicks, Revis/Verner, and Allen/Ware (pipe dream I know) We'd be a completely different team, easily playoff bound.
This is exactly what I hope they are thinking but not sure they are thinking like we are lol. I guess we just gotta trust Idzik and Co.
ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk 1m Revis rejected request from Bucs to cut pay, won't take less as part of a trade http://wp.me/p14QSB-9qOr Of course he did.
Thats IF we cut Sanchez. There's a reason he's still on the roster and I think it's to restructure him and keep him as a backup. If we sign Byrd and Verner that leaves us with 20 mil...7-8 for rookies, then only 12 mil left and we still need to re-sign Howard, so figure we'll only have MAYBE 8 mil to sign a linebacker like Pace, MAYBE one receiver, and who else? Not much.
