How about Julian Edleman ? We need playmakers, and this would not only help us, but hurt the Patriots as well.

Santonio Holmes Pt 2.. He will be in Geno's ear all game saying get me the ball get me the ball... And he is 35..... We really need James Jones.

My dream free agency for jets (and realistic) ... One of Verner (9m), Davis (8m), Revis (12m?)(not likely but still chance), either Byrd (8m) or Ward (7m) , Resign Howard (5-6m) , Sanders (5m) or Tate (5m) and then address the rest in draft. Verner, Byrd, Howard, Sanders = approx say 27.5 mill... Leaves us over 20 mill after we cut sanchez ... And defense will be looking good ... Then in the draft we could focus mainly on adding weapons for geno and the o line as well ... Seems like a wish but one can only hope!!!!

Absolutely, I'm all about Steve Smith. 1 YR deals for Smith and Nicks? with Kerley, and a drafted WR & TE? Not bad

Hi: Why aren't the Jets interested in Steve Smith or one of my favorite ex-Jets Jerricho Cotchery. Cotchery would be perfect for Geno and we could still get a number one in the draft. I was looking up things on the Jets and there seemed to be no interest in Cotchery. What is your opinion?

I have been a huge fan of Smith's over his career, but he's 35 or so, right? Still, for the short term, he could be a real help. FA options at wideout right now seem few.

There both a little too old and too slow. We need speed.

Steve Smith strikes me as a guy that could be effective even in his late 30's.

you think that a James Jones, turning 30 at the end of the month and product of Aaron Rogers and the GB offense is better than Steve Smith? Sorry, I don't want either, but if I had to choose I'd take a proven vet like Smith at 35 over a James Jones all day.

I am not saying he is better... But he is damn good and can be here for the next 4 or 5 years.. Smith on the other hand would be here for 1 and then we are back where we started. -_- No thanks
