yes he is and that was coming off serious injury where he should be 100% this season.

Maybe I worded that clumsily; I'll try again:

There are players - quality players - at the Cb position who can be signed for less than what Revis will command.

These players are younger and therefore will be around longer, when this team is ready to legitimately contend -- unlike Revis, who, by that point, will be a 30 year old Cb with a ACL tear on his rap sheet, among other things.

That's because Asamoah injured a shoulder. He didn't start those games due to injury, but still played some. Schwartz did not beat him out.

I agree we can get good players that are a little younger and cheaper though not nearly as good. I have no problem w/ that but saying Revis is selfish and we don't ant those types of players is silly, we nearly made 2 SBs w/ him. He's the best corner I have ever seen play.

That's ok. Keep living in your fantasy world. Revis may not even be top 5 any more. For certain, Sherman and Peterson are better.

Revis is still the best, it's closer b/c of the injury but he's still the best.

don't confuse INTs w/ who the best corner is.

    Agreed.

His perceived selfish attitude might be factors, but if we're talking about smart, economic moves for the long term benefit and sustainability of the franchise, I dont see how Revis, at this point in time (i.e. his age & salary demands), is a good acquisition moving forward.

So we lost Asamoah, I believe we were interested in Schwartz previously. What's the news on Howard? any of the CBs?

    getting nervous

Correct but when Asamoah was healed, they kept Schwartz as the new starter because of how well he was playing. In essence, an injury took Asamoah out but when he was healed, Schwartz had beaten him out for the starting job.

probably not but I think he's the best player we have ever had and I'd like him back even though it may not be the smartest move.

From @Edwerderesp:n DeMarcus Ware has requested Cowboys decide future before free agency today at 4 ET. Unsure of Cowboys response.

Would look nice in green and white!

I wouldn't be upset if we get him back. Having said that, I'm not advocating the pursuit of him.

Any word on Austin Howard? If we don't re-sign him he's gone to free agency. And that leaves our line in trouble with the guards going quick now

the pursuit of him likely would come at the expense of Verner so I don't like that risk unless we know we are getting revis but my preference is for Verner.

I expect that deal will get done around the start of FA, we'll overpay but we kind of have to right now.
