You really need to freshen up your math. If you wanna use "get a third round pick", it must be followed by "and give 4th round pick".
    Get your shit right.

No matter where Revis ends up, we all know he will hold out of camp until his $20M/yr contract demands are met.

I hope this camp is up in NE.

If nothing else, I'd love being able to claim that The Great Bill is trying to replicate RR's defense.

We don't want Revis back, period. Idzik will not let that happen anyhow. He knows better. We were lucky enough to rid ourselves of him. We need to continue to move towards more youth and commitment and less me/me bullshit. Going to Revis will be 10+ M poorly invested with the many holes we have.

Let some other team inherit the headache. I frankly don't care where it lands...as long as is not the Jets.

The key in getting Revis is satisfying Revis. And Revis can be satisfied only if you throw shitload of money his way. His status at the time is irrelevant, he'll always go for the biggest payout.

Giving anything to the Bucs buys you the right to talk to him first. This right has no advantage whatsoever because Revis will ALWAYS go for the biggest pile of cash.

Since the amount of money is the ONLY deciding factor, why give Bucs anything?

This. I agree with you why would we want revis whos getting up there and already has had an acl when we can sign verner and byrd and instead of having a top 5 defense for 2 years with revis, while with verner and maybe byrd or whatever safety we can have a top 5 D year in year out for many years to come

We all know, but you seemed to forget it as 3 times you were complaining about Jets giving away the 3rd rounder and completely "forgetting" about the 4th round pick.

    Anyway... Slack you got :)

Thankee...but yes I know we still get the 4th rounder #100 but #69 would be even better...then again it comes down to how well we can scout these players as the Seahawks were able to find great value in the later rounds

Pats are close to an agreement with Talib, so they're out.

I can almost guarantee you its Davis we are signing.

According to recent reports we are pushing "hard" for Davis. Looks like we may have all been wrong thinking it was Verner lol

    "Thankee".... Hmmm The Dark Tower?

I read somewhere (probably here on TGG) that the reason for Sea success in the draft can be directly attributed to Carroll bringing his scouting book from college days. Kinda makes sense. I'm curious to see how good they will draft in the upcoming 2-3 years, after Carroll's book becomes useless.

    Completely off topic...

Just a short while ago you were equally sure it was Verner.

Love seeing your unadulterated enthusiasm. It's quite refreshing, really.

No I said it definitely seems like it is Verner. Too much of a coincidence with the tweets. According to the most recent reports it's Davis we were pushing hard for.
