yeh i went to umass so all my college friends are pats fans, but i just went up this weekend to see a basketball game and even they were talking about how stupid the jets would be to fire rex ryan and how much they respect what he did last season. and these people dont have a problem talking tremendous amounts of shit about the jets normally. i think rex is a great coach and if idzik can put together a good team he gives the jets the best chance to win a sb
We have 8 big holes on our team. We have 10/11 draft picks this spring and fill a bunch of holes at FS,WR,OLB,CB,BUQB,TE,G, OT... Sure maybe 2 or 3 rookies can fill those holes, hopefully we can keep Howard and maybe someone on the team has a great camp and earns a spot BUT that still leaves 3/4 big holes to fill through FA market. I think we can only do Verner or Byrd without putting ourselves in cap hell for the future and thinning out what we need now.
Byrd and Verner isn't happening. However, a combo of Verner and Clemons or Byrd and Vontae Davis is much more realistic and very possible.

I couldn't find anything on their twitter except one that linked through ADF.LY to a Daily News article saying they had interest in Verner. So effectively they put out a vague tweet which makes you go through an ad site so they get paid and then takes you to a NYDN article they had nothing to do with. Now I can see why this thread was needed.
I wonder if/when Revis gets cut today, if it will lower Verner's market value, since it just shows that corners have been overplayed lately.
Possibly...but just because one was grossly overpaid at $16M + 2 draft picks does not mean another is overpaid at $9M. Besides, Sam Shields sort of already set the bar for this year.
I'm getting word from Cleo at the psychic network that the Broncos are signing Verner, Davis is signing with the Jets, Talib with the Redskins, and Revis is signing with the Pats. Fun maybe fact? Heard on sports radio yesterday Verner who's mom was a big Star Wars fan named him after the planet Alteraan but his parents spelled it wrong! Can't find out if it's true. Wikipedia hints at it when you look his name up, but it doesn't mention it in his bio.
he gone revis is surely back in play now though and will be released for sure. that would be interesting.
