F***ing bulls**t, The Sentimental Spankees and the retarded Mets cost me the title. Refused to put in their closers which would've given me the saves and K's I needed.
All you really needed was the K's, then it would have been 5-4-1 the other way. I was sweating out Gray and Ross's starts late yesterday, and very relieved when their managers removed them early lol. The last week is weird for things like that, you also lost a start from Lackey (as did I from Porcello) because guys get rested, skipped, whatever. Made the lineups unpredictable too. I kinda liked the chaos though, tests your resourcefulness and depth though yes some of it's plain luck based too.
True but I had so many opportunities to break that tie in saves, not to mention all my base-stealers decided to take the week off which stunk as well. To go along with that the Yanks pulled Rivera after 13 pitches but yet let Pettitte go nearly 120 on Saturday. Huge wtf moment there. Between this and the football league this is my 6th loss in the finals I believe. Never gets old.
Swamps begins their quest to repeat by doing a blockbuster deal with Byrnes/Peavy (JTJ)...no standing pat here. Hated both giving up Prince and Sale but wanted to remake my team - i.e. instead of keeping 2 1B, Kipnis, no OF'ers and 4 pitchers, I keep one 1B, Kipnis, three pitchers and an OF - and still have some solid options to fill out my last keeper spot (it's really a 2-2 deal with Prince/Sale for Cutch/whoever I now wind up keeping as my seventh). btw are we going have the draft in a couple weeks, since the season starts with those dumb games in Australia on the 22nd-23rd?

I'd prefer the 21st mainly cause I don't want to miss a Kershaw start lol. I'd think anyone who's keeping Goldschmidt, Hanley and whomever else wants those games to count as well.
