The way he has played the last few years, I totally agree with the money not being worth it. You cant justify it because he brings it more then Nash because if Nash is going to play like he plays, he needs to be over 30 goals right now to justify the lack of hitting. Only on a team filled with 12-14 goal scorers can Nash looks so good. I totally agree with you. Lets face it though, he has scored like 10 goals in the past 15 games or so and still has what..around 20? About 6 or 7 goals more then Cally? You cant justify either contract demand..or contract being paid.
He's implying I'm comparing Cally to Nash, Nash is obviously a much more talented player, who should watch how Cally plays and he would be elite, but he floats, 6'4" marshmallow...
Not happening. Kesler has NMC, and he won't waive that to play for the Rangers because of his past problems with AV. That would be an awful trade anyway.
I'd offer them something like Cally, Kristo, McIlrath and a 2nd for MSL. The Rangers aren't losing much with that offer. Losing Cally is going to happen in the offseason if he isn't signed today, Kristo has a clause in his contract where he can be released from his contract if he wants if he doesn't play around 80 NHL games for the Rangers by the end of the 2014-2015 season, and that is not going to happen, so the Rangers should just include him in a trade. They will lose him anyway a year from now. The one piece I wouldn't to give up in that offer is McIlrath, but the Rangers are going to have to offer a defenseman, and I'd rather the Rangers part with McIlrath than Skjei. The Rangers also have two guys locked in long term on the right side.
I think there is no way they trade him at this point..signed or no signed. Would be shocked if he were not signed in the next 3 hours. He is on the ice? Its over.
