This can't be legit. I've never seen Amaro available in the third and I've run the simulator over 100 times.

Haha, I don't know how it happened but it did.
Check the high scores for the jets on there if you want, my score's there.
    Shit was admittedly crazy though.

That in essence, is why I no longer run that similator or go to that site. Not only are some of their draft positions wacky, but their scoring is stupid, and they really don't know team needs.

I've done multiple drafts for every team and while I don't know the needs for most teams, I do know them for quite a few, and they're quite often wrong in how they weight the needs and what round those needs should be taken.

The site must be run by a 13 year-old with all the trading, crazy trades, dumb player evaluations and absurd scoring.

Yeah... same here. That place stopped being fun only after quite a short while. Fails miserably. I don't follow a lot of teams, but for the teams that I follow, I know where it hurts them the most. Their 'need' is just not consistent with what I know to be true already.

    18 WR MIKE EVANS
    TEXAS A&M

    49 OLB JEREMIAH ATTAOCHU
    GEORGIA TECH

    69 ILB CHRIS BORLAND
    WISCONSIN

    80 TE TROY NIKLAS
    NOTRE DAME

    111 RB CARLOS HYDE
    OHIO STATE

    142 CB ROSS COCKRELL
    DUKE

    179 TE CROCKETT GILMORE
    COLORADO STATE

    210 S ISAIAH LEWIS
    MICHIGAN STATE

I pretty much stuck to bpa. The only choice I hesitated on was the 2nd round pick. I had to bypass Davante Adams to take Attaochu. Didn't get another chance to draft a quality WR prospect until Jaylen Saunders in the last round. Still, I'd be very happy with this draft.\

I like the following one as well, maybe better because not only does it add two quality WR prospects, an excellent OLB prospect, and a speedy RB who is an excellent receiver out of the backfield, but also adds the potential future replacements for Brick and David Harris. This time I took Adams over Attaochu.

    18 OT TAYLOR LEWAN
    MICHIGAN

    49 WR DAVANTE ADAMS
    FRESNO STATE

    69 WR DONTE MONCRIEF
    MISSISSIPPI

    80 DE MARCUS SMITH
    LOUISVILLE

    111 RB CHARLES SIMS
    WVU

    142 ILB YAWIN SMALLWOOD
    UCONN

    179 CB CHRIS DAVIS
    AUBURN

    210 G WESLEY JOHNSON
    VANDERBILT

I decided to do a quick 5 rounder before work.

    18 OLB KHALIL MACK BUFFALO
    49 WR DONTE MONCRIEF MISSISSIPPI
    69 WR JARVIS LANDRY LSU
    80 TE C.J. FIEDOROWICZ IOWA
    111 S ED REYNOLDS STANFORD
142 OLB PRINCE SHEMBO NOTRE DAME

Idzik would need a tactical turtleneck to have the draft fall this way.

One comment on the simulator is that the AI is very faulty and does some things that almost never happen in the NFL draft. A perfect example is that if you make a couple of trade downs during the draft you will often see somebody trade up for your pick and then immediately turn around and trade the pick they just traded up for back down again. Nobody does that. Teams trade up because they see a player they want, not to somehow manipulate the situation into a slightly better spread by trading back down again.

My best guess on why this happens is that teams are flagged into trade mode randomly and then they become receptive to deals. If you have a team that has just made a trade up the odds are that they're still flagged as trade receptive and if another team comes calling at that point they just can't help themselves, even if it means a circular trade that didn't do much for them.

    My assumption was that:

    1. There is a certain grading system for the prospects - even though the grade is not visible to users.
    2. Also, there is a value system related to the picks.
    3. If the AI sees a target player at a better value than whatever it can offer, it jumps the gun.
    4. I don't know how the trading back works exactly, but similar logic must be in play.
