It seems that #3 has been involved in every crash. Anyway, would be nice if Jr wins the night the number returns. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
Austin Dillon drove like an idiot and got rewarded with an 9th place finish after several guys wiped out on the final lap. Dillon caused at least two wrecks today. Junior got the win. edit: Dillon 9th, not 8th
When it rains now, I pretty much find something else to do. I did catch some of hte race last night, but I had to go to bed early to get ready for work. Just don't stick with the races anymore when they have those big delays.
massive delay. They started back on the track at about 8:35 PM, but the actual racing (as opposed to driving under caution) didn't begin until 8:54. I feel bad for everyone who was stuck there for about 10 hours (race started at about 1:32 and ended at 11:18) but at least the race happened, I guess.
I heard that was a record for longest rain delay. Anyway, I watched every Nationwide race last year, and my thoughts on Austin Dillon have been positive until Sunday. That was straight BS. He caused two wrecks, one taking out my driver.
People seemed happy about the #3 car being brought back. I wasn't. Two problems: 1)Childress swore the #3 was retired forever, so this makes him a liar. 2)If you're going to bring it back, why AUSTIN DILLON? I get that he's Childress's grandson, but he's not a very good driver. He can do fine on Nationwide, but his performances on the top circuit have been less than impressive. edit: mistake
Petty? You mean Richard Childress? Austin Dillon is 23 years old and has already won the Nationwide and Truck series Championships, he has driven the #3 car since he started driving because Dale Earnhardt was his hero...
yeah I mentioned Childress in the post. Typo with the first one. I know he's been driving in Nationwide. The point was that the number wasn't being used in the Sprint Cup Series, because Childress claimed it wouldn't come back.
pretty funny that the #3 returns, Dale Jr wins, and the #3 played a part in it I doubt Junior would've won without the chaotic wrecks which changed the race
I'm a fair, reasoning, logical person with sports. So it's hard to get over how unfair the chase is now...but you can bet your ass it will build anticipation, and excitement.
They added Gordon because of Boyer's action, if he just let the race determine who made the chase and not cause a wreck so his teammate can make the chase, the ripple effects of his decision would have never happened and Gordon would have not made the chase.
Never been a Chase fan. Never will, either. It can't be fixed. Go back t the old system where every race was worth the same number of points. A playoff system is an ill fit for this kind of sport. And F1 is the most popular racing series in the world. Do they use a playoff system? No. That covers it.
