No I'm with you, I would like to make a run at Byrd, although it seems like he will probably stay in buffalo As much as I liked Laron and the tone he set in the secondary, you can't really rely on him. The fact that he stayed healthy all year for us in 2012 was a freaking miracle, and no surprise that he was once again hurt a lot of 2013. Also we're gonna get a decent comp pick back for Landry also Sent from my LGMS769 using Tapatalk
Philadelphia Eagles @Eagles 3m #Eagles agree to terms with WR Jeremy Maclin on a one-year contract. #FlyEaglesFly
That was the only legit #1 in free agency IMO. Now we are almost forced to go WR in the first round or work a trade. Please no Decker.
I love how as Jet fans, we hedge our bets on a guy whose knees don't work.. I am over here cracking up. I am guilty of it as well!!
we were going WR in the draft anyway- whether rd 1,2, 3, etc... the plan was sign 1-2 guys and draft 1-2 guys.
Understood, without any legitimate veterans available (to act as a #1 receiver as I see Sanders, Tate... great #2s) and since we don't have a true #1 on the roster we will have to try to find one in the draft which will likely have to be a first rounder. I know this is a deep WR class but unless Idzik hits paydirt in the second or third it's likely without selecting a top WR we end up with several complimentary mediocre to good receivers without a true #1 guy. Still early in the off season too I suppose, never know what could transpire.
Sign Sidney Rice, please. He is a proven #1, he still has a good 2-3 years left. He was actually signed when Idzik was in Seattle, which makes it more likely he might get signed again under Idziks watch.
Sidney Rice... no way. 6, 9, 16, 8 that's the number of games Rice has played in the last 4 years Give me Hakeem Nicks over Rice. They have both had their health issues and are basically the same type of player but Nicks games played over the last few years are 13, 15, 13, 15
Is anyone in favor of signing James Jones? He's better than anyone we have and it would be good to have a veteran presence on the team for the receivers we draft
My concern isn't getting a #1 WR. My concern is fielding a WR corps that is at LEAST average. Average is better than what they have been which is awful. Sanders, Nicks, Rice...I don't care. Just get us someone who can get open & catch the ball
