of course we can but it doesn't mean we cannot have an appreciation of what he did for us.

Yup. I wonder if other fanbases are like this.

I get we've had misery for decades, I've just never understood the visceral reaction some of the folks have here.

I'm sure they are, but it's just amazing to see how prevalent it is around here LOL

Jon Smith will be cut by the New York Jets: "Fuck that guy!" "Always hated him" "Piece of shit" "Hope his career ends" etc.

Same thing happened with Revis, same thing will happen with Tone, and eventually the same thing will happen with Sanchez.

Santonio half assed it during practice, just read the book. Glad Bluntonio is getting the axe. Piss poor pick up.

He is the best WR on paper only. Last year he was an absolute non factor, and the few times he was on the field the improvement to the offense was unnoticeable. Time to say goodbye to Holmes. We desperately need help on the offensive WR core group, but Tone isn't the guy to make us better......not anymore. Couple that with a huge contract and clearly sets the stage for an upgrade over Mr. Holmes for that kind of money.

It's going to be hilarious. All the haters will throw a party when Holmes gets cut and then when he resigns for 7-8 million they will get out the nooses.

I was excited when we got Tone. Although he was up and down I still appreciated what he did for us.

I look at Holmes kind of like the way I look at Boomer Esiason. Certainly a very good player, capable every now and then of some kind of transcendent 500 yard passing performance. Just not very often. Don't really hate on the guy, just can't work up a lot of heartburn over him leaving.

Tone had some great moments for us. And I appreciate those years greatly.

But it's time to move on. He quit on this team many times and represents a fun but frustrating jets era. Time to make a clean break and move forward.

    Thanks Tone and bye now.

I think Holmes is done at least compared to what he one was. btw it wouldn't make any sense to cut him and resign him. If anything they would have just renegotiated.

I thought Sanchez was going to turn out so much better, he showed glimpses but just could not turn the page.

that was the last year he had top half of the league talent around him to work with. Give him talent and he will succeed again.
